collected This may be the last day you need to do this Dave. According to the website, it has "Repair complete, shipped to customer" but there's no tracking number yet. Maybe that's an overnight bulk data update. Next day shipping is normal so I may well have the laptop back by lunchtime tomorrow. With them replacing the mobo, I'd say the warranty has been a bargain! I think I'll have to see if I can extend it. ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by keithhenry at Jun 4, 2009 2:15:58 AM] |

Running Aqua with a 9800GT, 17.44 hours, 25.7% complete 23:45 hours more to go! Is this normal? ![]() Yes, they are large. I have one that will complete on a 9800GT in about 30 minutes. The one on the 8500GT will complete tomorrow afternoon (under 3 days!!!). Several others will complete in between those times. I finished the build of the new machine but because the Mobo changed, Vista will not accept the hard drive. It wants the OEM disk but when I put it in it does not reconize it. I'll mess around with it some more tomorrow.![]() |

I too have some 8500GTs, at least the deadline a LOT longer than GPUGrid. :) I did that a few days ago, and Vista booted up ok, and kept asking for a reactivation within 3 days. MS is the lolsDoes your new mobo have the same basic drivers as the old mobo? You may want to revert most of the drivers to the stock drivers, before you change motherboards, that's what I did. :) ![]() |

I'm not sure what to do. It's a Vista 64-bit machine. I may just try to put an old XP drive in it. It does not matter that much for crunching.
