----------------------------------------http://www.crossbayrun.org.uk/ Nice to see some praise coming back from the brave runners it was not a nice Brit summer day I started at 0830 picking up kit setting up start sites for walk and runners finished the day at about 1930 packing kit away at days end I didn't even get to see the start or finish just a lot of packs of energy drinks, fruit , tables, cars ,& people asking questions but the comments from the guys that did the run are enough to please and they also remembered the cause that we set the thing up for Will let you know the total raised when I find out . Challenge it is for those runners Hope that next year we get a modicum of sun |

Needless to say, I am looking forward to it! Strange isn't it? Looking forward to a weekend away with a load of old men and old ladies! ![]() The Marines a load of 'Old Ladies' surely you mean Old Laddies? Then again........ Old Sage |

Me neither yet god forbid who ever asked do we like the smoke (London) No (sorry to be in conflict with Ivan ) its such a frenetic place to live I used to live some miles south of the city centre as a younger person the verve enjoyment of city living was a day to day event as one gets older I (note this is me speaking) I think what's the hurry .When I venture into the smoke every one is in such a hurry ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Aug 19, 2009 12:19:40 PM] |

Evening all
The hottest day of the year down here in the smoke, hitting 30 at it's peak. Heavy showers still forecast for tomorrow so think of me as I head off to Hertfordshire for a a country walk. Which of course itself is just an excuse to work up an appetite for a pub lunch. |
