Maybe instead of NP status, we should be talking about an NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) status for WCG. Actually I suspect that WCG *is* an NP NGO, but I`m not sure.

So to wap it up:

WCG

- is Non Profit
- is Non Government
- owns the rights to the produced result datasets.
- offers (or will offer) facilities to the public to use these results freely.

I could not get to this website 2 days ago so did a search on the web and found others doing something similar. Anyone know what the difference's are between this protein folding project and some of the others? raised eyebrow
