But I remember the milk question. Fine, BladeD, so what is your answer? A lot of people simply don't tolerate cow's milk once they grow up. If none of you drink milk, I only need to occupy our refrigerator with other things, except for milk to myself. An addiction Good news is always good to hear! Yes. My library - faced with overwhelming evidence - cancelled intended fines ![]() Heart nurse will call and answer my questions tomorrow - these people are hard to get a hold on and their phone answering system is from Thor and Odin's time. The dentist said it looked good - the bad news was she had tried bruised ribs, too, and would say it stays with you for a several weeks ... My wonderful new doctor will stay with the clinic where she was hired as a temp - she's a godsend to any clinic and in seven month I can change change back to a no-charge health plan My optician will have new glasses ready for me in some two weeks .... I forgot what the sixth was ...![]() |

NixChix,
Jamais. -------- What I know is that chocolate is poison for our dogs (they can not eliminate it, so each piece is one more dose, even if it really takes a lot to make it bad) , and that sugar is not food that's actually bad, but if you give them squares, the dust ends up making them blind. I do not really care, that I do not eat, or almost. For the rest, he eats like me, mixed with his croquettes. And when we go to see the vet, every time she says that he is very healthy. The (lawyer, lol translation ?) avocados, I had never heard of it before. Never. ---------- Chili, it's really a matter of habit, even for humans. If I cook, I'll put a little bit, if it's the first time we eat together (I would add for myself). A little more, a little more, each time, and you eat like Chileans? ![]() |

---------------------------------------- The (lawyer, lol translation ?) avocados, I had never heard of it before. Never. I am not sure if you mean that you haven't heard of avocados or avocado poisoning? Here is some interesting (to me, at least) avocado information that is intertwined with my family history. The Hass avocado is the most commercially popular avocado worldwide and originated near my home. The first house that my father built (he was a house builder) was built on property purchased from and next to the home of Harold Brokaw, the nurseryman mentioned in the story above. My childhood home was built on a former Hass avocado orchard that my grandfather (not the pioneer aviator from earlier posts) bought from Brokaw. At the time nobody understood that the "black" avocados were not rotten. I later took my daughter to see the Hass "mother tree" as part of her local history school project, but found only the plaques marking where it once stood. It is amazing to think that 80% of the commercial avocado trees in the entire world are clones of the tree that I once saw standing there. Cheers ![]() ![]() |

.... and so do I
Thank you very much, NixChix There is lots of history left of the pond. I'll think about every time I eat an avocado - lawyer is 'advokat' in Denmark, stefada, so I have the same association - and yes, I use chili peppers in my cooking. The ones I get is not very hot, though, but I grew one - little, tiny fruits - on my balcony years ago that almost killed me when I bit ever so cautiously ... |

I'm going to start fueling up Escher 1 and loading my gear. It will be a long flight. Does anyone need me to pick up anything on the way over?

I think a basket of avocados would be very welcome, NixChix
How do you eat them at their birthplace? In my home I just halve them, and drip with some lemon juice, and mill a little pepper over it. My life is very simple The luxury version gets the seed hole filled with shrimps. I think the Netherlands is able to supply all the milk, BladeD and I can possibly drink. As for beer, they have Heineken, as exciting as Budweiser, but I'm sure they have a lot of micro breweries as well - but just in case, and if it doesn't amount to too much of a payload for your antique aeroplane, stuff some Samuel Adams behind your seat, please ![]() |
