Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

@BladeD: You’re right, being off the Forums for this long is not normal for me.
Making friends with a class mate I haven’t seen since 1962 is somewhat unusual also.
And no, we were not sweethearts then shame on you
And yes, we're working on correcting that now whistling
But I did announce I probably would not post for a couple of days wink
@NixChix: Yes, it's a nice badge inspired by stefada telling us about triskeles.
And no, you cannot beat the 250 character limit for Forum Profile signatures.
Trust me beat up
With my verbosity I have a chronic sore spot on my skull from running into that ceiling time after time
What I do is to display the entire breast full now and then like the old Soviet warriors surviving WWII do.
I have the [ image url ]s in a Word document to copy and paste.
You’ll soon have a strip of your own, NixChix
peace

Good Morning Base Campers!
Business
To repeat myself: Same crew, same stability.
It’s a little ironic. I see Base Camp’s purpose as supporting teams, boosting them, rock their boats,
but it almost looks as if MOT has disappeared from the surface of the earth along with keithhenry’s ’stats cooker’.
Soon we begin Base Camp’s GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek where we hope to whip up something.
This team is BladeD's home team.
A long time ago NAP2614 made a badge for this trek.

which is now aired for the first time ever.
I hope we'll be able to place a very big order with the US Mint when this trek is finished.
I would be pleased, if you would be so kind as to put this badge in your safe deposit website, stefada.

Chit-chat
The most remarkable summer in my lifetime is slowly turning into Autumn in Denmark.
The ocean water is hot (we think 24C/75F is hot), still the beach goers are few and far between.

From August 23, BladeD cool
Chit-chat
I may not be able to post for a couple of days because of company and outings, but I shall if I get the chance.
In the meantime I trust you to behave. I have filled up the refrigerator with beer, soft drinks, milk, and watermelon.
Say, do any of you drink milk?
Does anyone drink milk?
Did you get yourself something from the refrigerator?
Did you refill it?
But I didn't miss the one above! smile wink
You can say that again laughing - it rather looks blown-up! devilish

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Little Mermaid,

----------
Dentastix are used to clean teeth of dogs, but are not treats. Normally, you should not give more than one a day. And the biscuit is on purpose, in general there is an indication not to give too much. Those I buy for Louloup, it is written on the box that you have to give the maximum: 3 for small dogs, 6 for medium, and 10 for large, in one day. I do not know exactly why, but it's bad for their health to give too much treats.

As for Currywurst, with curry for Louloup! As I cook almost all the time spicy (even in mashed potatoes, I put curry or merken), and he shares my leftovers, he is used to it.

Finally, the badges page has been updated.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

First of all, thank you for saving the Base Camp GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek badge love struck

As to Dentastix: The two dogs I know, Tessa the Schnauzer, and Jolly, the medium black poodle both get one
- and only one
per day. Their owners are very careful to treat them correctly just like you are, stefada.

Louloup and curry? Dogs have peculiar tastes - exactly like cats - and it must be so
that when you -the alpha dog - eat curry, Louloup thinks it cannot be all bad wink

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Little Mermaid,

----------
That's right, if daddy eats, it must not be bad. So if I share with him, anything, he will eat. There is only the melon that he does not eat, and the grapes he plays with as if it were a ball. After, for spices, there is also the habit that plays, even for humans. When I was in Chile, after a week I put as much spice as they on my plate, while when I arrived I put only half. So Louloup is used to it, and some time ago, he even ate half a chili that I had dropped (nibbling in front of the PC). I thought it was going to be too much for him, while he lay at my feet, looking at me and wagging his tail, like, you give me another one?

Where it's very convenient is to give him medicine: I just put it in his hand, and he swallows it. I impress the vet with that.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

stefada, I hope you are careful in what left-overs that you give Louloup. My wife gave one of our dogs, "Lucky", left-over chili beans from dinner and about 30 minutes later we found Lucky had just fallen over dead. Oh, there was so much wailing and tears that evening. My wife does not like me joking about her recipe for "killer chilli".

I don't think it was the spices in the chili; I'm sure it was the beans as Lucky was very bloated when I found her. It may have put fatal pressure on her heart or lungs. sad

On the other hand I have seen warnings about avocados, yet when we had an avocado tree the dogs would eat their fill with no ill effects. I even made friends with a mean pit bull by tossing avocados over the fence to him.

Cheers coffee

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

stefada, I think both you and Louloup have stomachs made out of steel mesh. But that’s the way it goes – a special brotherhood that includes food, even hot chili.
NixChix, that was awful! This dog of yours certainly chose a certain timing. On the other hand, dogs tend to spend much time eating or thinking about eating.
BladeD, I also find the watermelon mermaid cute.

Good Morning Base Campers!

If we thought our Hungary trek was quiet, think about our MOT trek.
And this radio silence has been going on for almost a month.
I hope nothing worse than the ’stats-cooker’ is awry with keithhenry
Soon I’ll use the ’Attention – Achtung – Attenzione’ thread to promote
Base Camp’s GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek.
I see it as the pinnacle of contemporary Base Camping cool

Newport, Rhode Island, has a famous cliff walk. So do we in Denmark.
It’s listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site because it’s one of the few places where fish clay is visible.
Fish clay was deposited when a meteor hit Earth 66.5 million years ago and caused the extinction af the dinosaurs.
This is how the cliff looked last Saturday.
In the distance you can see the old Højerup Church. The apse fell onto the beach AD1928.
A new one has been built well inland, but there are ceremonies held occasionally.
It was closed for a wedding that day.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

stefada, now is a very good time to thank you for hosting Base Camp’s badges.
When I tried to upload the SNURK badge to imgur.com there was no way to
get past the army of hackers lurking to snatch my password.
The link from my Facebook is temporary. imgur’s permanent – if it isn’t spoiled by hackers.
Could you give me a link for the SNURK badge, please?
What a pity.
On Saturday I walked to our local Culture Center to by tickets for a concert because the ticket website was being hacked …
- not that I mind walking - on the contrary - but I do mind bandits spoiling it for the rest of us

Good Morning Base Campers!
Business
Only a few days remains of our rather silent MOT trek,
and I have posted in the ’Attention – Achtung – Attenzione’ thread to promote
Base Camp’s GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek.
I’m really anxious to see who and how many will come.

Chit-chat
Well, do you know days where everything goes wrong.
I had an opposite day today – six errands of problematic character were solved smoothly love struck what a bliss love struck
