BOINC uses a software package called libCurl to handle the network communications. You can read about this at this site: http://curl.haxx.se/
----------------------------------------The Berkeley 5.10.20 BOINC client was built using libCurl 7.16.4 (I think). The BOINC client 5.10.21/22 builds use a previous version. libCurl version 7.17.0 was released on Sept 13. Its change log notes the following fixes:

Rom has posted a new build of the Berkeley BOINC build using libCurl 7.17.0. It would be helpful if the folks in this thread who experienced troubles could retest with this version. It is available here:
http://boincdl.ssl.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.10.23_windows_intelx86.exe The BOINC alpha testers have reported that there continues to still be some problems with NLTM proxies. However, libCurl may have fixed some of the other problems reported above. thanks |

Anyone with insight please share. What I'm curious about is why you are able to get worked assigned to you in the first place. The only difference is that the scheduler request to ask for work is a http post but it is over https. The file downloads are http gets but also over https. The other difference is that downloads are occurring two at a time while scheduler requests only happen one at a time.
Can you add the following tags to the options section of your cc_config.xml file? <max_file_xfers>1</max_file_xfers> restart BOINC or go to the advanced view and select advanced -> Read Config file) to make sure it is in effect and then try again. If that doesn't work, then try removing the max_file_xfers tag and then try setting: <http_1_0>1</http_1_0> and restart BOINC or re-reading the config file. Let us know the outcome. thanks, Kevin |

Anyone with insight please share. What I'm curious about is why you are able to get worked assigned to you in the first place. Well, some strange things could happen because I use my Notebook both in my factory (where I have problems with proxy) and at home (where haven't any problem), so, I think, it's possible that BOINC create a strange queue in which both the works ended at home and the ones ended at work (but non transferred) are present.  Now, here I post two logs corresponding to both the flags you soggested to me. Actually I have two works: dddt0101a0199_ ZINC05025087-0001_ 04_ 1 runing at 28% and li931_00016_14 (0%) waiting. I also have the folllowing 5 files that BOINC is trying to dowload: li930-939_li931fasta.gz li930-939_li931psipred.gz li930-939_li931psipred_ss2.gz li930-939_aali93103_05.075_v1_3.gz li930-939_aali93109_05.075_v1_3.gz Results in my next 2 replies. I have exactly the same problem with BOINC in my firm, we are also using a HTTPS proxy working on port 3128. I have no problem with UD agent. |

You may want to revert to previous recommended version 5.8.16 and give it a try. There are no essentials between this and the currently endorsed 5.10.22 that you need to run WCG.
