There's enough info there to determine what your name is and where you possibly work. With the little pencil left of post title you can activate editing mode.
----------------------------------------From what i remember reading, NTLM proxy has issues with it v.v. the BOINC version and the particular included libcurl.... sad but true. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=14654#111363

You are using libcurl/7.16.1 that has a known problem with proxies. I asked you to try with BOINC 5.10.20, which uses a later libcurl version that fixes the known problem (libcurl/7.16.4).
You have just exchanged the unknown problem you were having using 5.10.20 for a known problem in 5.10.21! To help you further, I will need a WireShark trace using BOINC 5.10.20. I know this is inconvenient, and a lot of trouble to go to - but I think it's the only way. Yes, the version of libcurl has been downgraded in the latest build. This was due to an unresolved crash issue in BOINC 5.10.20, which was attributed to libcurl. Thank you for persevering with this. |

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
----------------------------------------I tried with 5.10.20 but also that version did't solve my problem so, having read last Sekerob post (Here's a fresh thread on the topic over at Berkeley proposing to revert to 5.8.16: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=2169) I tried to solve by using one of these version... just to try (I didn't know about the known problem in 5.10.21 Please excuse me if I can't understand what you need from me... I don't know what a WireShark trace is, and how to obtain it. In the meantime I'll reinstall 5.10.20 Thank you again for your attention. ![]() |

No, also changing to https://myproxyname I didn't obtain any solution.
----------------------------------------I think I'll be forced to leav WCG when ud agent will be abandoned , obviously I hope that they will still let UD operative since BOINC problems will be fixed... Can we do a petition ? ![]() ![]() |

Berkeley is going to have to do something about the connections problems in BOINC. Right now proxy support is a little like Forrest Gump's "Box of Chocolates" line: you never know what you're going to get. Having people who are going to be migrating over from UD edit config files and such is just not going to be practical.
