The challengs name is "i love natumi-chan No.3" Its not a real problem, just wanted to note the discrepincy. As the work done recently, now is the point currently under test. [taps on inside of monitor screen] Hello, any one home? Well, I've been trying to think of a nice way to say this... We've mapped out the schedule for the rest of the year, and it is not currently going to include any major changes to the Team Challenges. We hope to make a few small changes to make them more accessible, but things like Leagues, or differentiating teams based on size or output, are too big to fit in with all the other things that we've planned. We will try to fix the bugs that are cropping up, so keep letting us know if you see something wrong. |

----------------------------------------Message understood. As a pro, I understand schedule and fiscal responsibilities. I was a project manager for years. In fact, that is why speak of this problem long before it becomes one. What I would like to know is if there was work to organize the needed tools for league play here, by those who are involved in the challenges, would it be seen as valuable? Meaning, more frankly, would it be considered at all? Please understand, I’m not the enemy. If I were, would there be any benefit in asking, no. What I am trying to prevent is a needed, protracted and costly debate that would never happen. Although, with the current costs of the challenge system at stake, there may be concern to whether this project flies, or not. Especially since there will be a cost far more than the stripping of the system if it fails. My worry: This system may have been a creation more from a reality of over 2yrs ago and is being carried out as a function of course, not logic of, today. Realize that no matter your response, I will still promote the concept to its conclusion. This includes delivering bug reports and continued involvement in the games as they are. Something also an enemy wouldn’t do. As your greatest enemy here would say or do nothing to help. |

I know you are not an enemy, and I appreciate your (and everyone's) input. If it were up to me, I'd be happy to add many more things to the Team Challenges. In fact, the intent was to roll out the basic functionality and then improve upon it after feedback from the people who use it. But, as happens, other items have taken priority. The To Do List at World Community Grid is very long and includes items from a nearly uncountable number of sources. Hopefully there will be time next year to improve on the Team Challenges. Thanks again for your feedback. |

.... I messed up when starting the next set of heats for WCG SPORTS.
----------------------------------------The dates for heats 6 and 7 should all be from the nov 12th to the 16th and 19th to the 23rd respectivly. Can you change this before people start joining. The race dates should be as follows: Heat 5 - 11/05 to 11/9 Heat 6 - 11/12 to 11/16 Heat 7 - 11/19 to 11/23 Heat 8 - 11/26 to 11/30 The way the heats work is like qualifiers for invitationals I would like to run after the begining of the year. What I will need then is a pace car to start races I wont be in. This would be a team with no players that is removed when the race starts. This should help provide a bridge to league play without a league system in place. What would be good (and cheap) to do, is to have an email to team captains that this is going on. Thus spurring a future past the holidays while adding variety of some shorter races to November and December. [Edit 1 times, last edit by courine at Oct 31, 2007 11:34:43 PM] |
