Re: Team Challenge problem....

That is why the Jan races I'm doing start on the 5th or shortly after.

You need about a week from the point that the challenge is offered until the starting line.

Re: Team Challenge problem....

if challenge is set to start date 01/01/2008:

The Start Date for your challenge needs to be after today. (Please use the MM/DD/YYYY format for the Start Date)

Isn't 01/01/08 after 12/05/07?

smile Re: Team Challenge problem....

yes, I was just working around the prob. It would be nice if it were fixed. fortunately, what needs to work, does.

I think that when this gets going more, they will look at fixing things more.

My guess is that some calculations from the start date are based on day and month and will not span a year boundary. Team challenges will grind to a halt, but can be started again beginning January 2 once we reach January 1. That is only a guess.

It is possible to start a challenge 12/something/2007 and end sometime in early 2008. I am watching now and then to see when I can start something 01/01/2008. Not yet.

So it would seem. These challenges started in July. Did IBM figure that they would fizzle out before the end of the year?

Re: Team Challenge problem....

Dislike any system that does not use the yyyymmdd annotation. Because of the multinational nature a challenge.... now given it's building towards an issue, retsof might want to initiate contact with nelsoc. Dont know exactly if a new website build will be taking launched, but usually we have 1 each month.

I still prefer YYYYMMDD for sorting data...

Re: Team Challenge problem....

So far, no challenges may start in 2008. It's coming up soon, you know.

It's wrong retsof. See your December 7-8 Minicrunch Results

Too bad that it was probably not for this one that you wanted it... smile

Cheers. Jean.
