Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Ready for the cold? Next week will get bitter. Well, its acting up again. Had to back off the number of threads crunching. When I checked the motherboards logs, showed my clock was off. Just put a new battery in it too. Guess I will limp it along until it dies. Not worth putting the money into this old system.

I have listened to Finlandia before and do like it. Many of the scenes in this video look like they could have been filmed in northern Minnesota, although they were not.
You are welcome and I hope the Marshall aid is still paying dividends.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hello all, and Sgt.Joe,

Recently moved out to CA and sold a lot of my computer stuff. Just brought online my trusty i7-2600k system again. 8 years old and it still overclocks to 4.5 on its 4c/8t, doing a decent amount of crunching. Have thought about putting together a Ryzen system soon. Electric being more expensive out here, I'll have to ration crunching accordingly though. Hope everyone is staying warm in the great north.

Even if you are in California, we are glad you are back. Every little bit helps.
