Finally earned a Ruby badge for Beta. Almost 10 years. Congratulations. Unless a person is really hunting for the betas, they can be hard to come by. It took me almost 10 years to get the ruby and probably take again that long to get the emerald. Hope you make it sooner. Cheers

I don't hunt for them. to much wasted idle time. Just got my 5 year on zika. I crunch 30 days per day. That's plenty.

Sorry for the late response, I teach SpEd at the secondary school in Rush City.
Right now I crunch on a Pentium laptop plus on a couple of old desktops at work. I've crunched since 2010 and I built a farm not long after I joined. When I moved out of the old house in IL, I recycled about a dozen dead motherboards and a dozen dead desktops and laptops. I used that equipment along with a school computer lab full of i5's - I made A LOT of points at the height of it, back in 2013! I have been in MN since 8/2015. I like teaching in MN much more than IL. |

It has been a busy time of year. The cold weather always seems to make everything outside take twice as long. Winter actually got a little serious this morning as we had -25F (-32C). The car started so that was a good thing. However the chicken waterers were all frozen solid (even with the heat lamps on them) so I had to thaw them. It did warm up to -4F(-20C) so it was not too bad later on. at least the weather will moderate the rest of the week into the 20'sF. Maybe even 32F(0C) on Tuesday.

Cold temps == increased crunching. Ready for 2017? Long time, no hear. Nice to see you posting again. I got my systems in the shed going full bore. They do not even hiccup when it gets cold, even though I am sure anything lower than -10F is way outside of the recommended specs. As far as being ready for 2017, here it comes ready or not. Cheers
