Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hi Joe.

About gardening.
Honestly think that fact that forest is starting from my back yard, the forest that has always been so full of berries as long as I have live here, may distort little a bit my willingness to have staring competition with slugs.

Some prolez stuff.
I'm just kind of toast. I use to be engineer or something, but now a days more like change manager, change coordinator and engineer.
Honestly do not mind concept at all, there is just some layers where I do not have any experience to lean on from my previous life, and since quite literally only dude on my coun(t)ry I just cannot lean to those more experienced than me. There is some pressure points on this learning process for sure.
Well, got my self new desk. Honestly corner place, but since glass from wall to sealing, I do not mind at all.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

but since glass from wall to sealing,

As always your English is very good but sometimes those tricky words called homonyms or homophones (words which sound exactly the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings) can trip you. Here the word for the top surface in your office should be "ceiling." If your windows are weathertight with no drafts ar air coming in from them, then they are well sealed and someone did a good job of sealing them.
By the way, those berries look delicious.
Cheers

But now just need to let it go..

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Sometimes you just have to say goodbye to old machine.
I will be shutting down some systems in the current wave, not because they can not take the heat, but because I need to reduce the electric bill while the heat is here. I'll start them again when the weather moderates.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Too hot and muggy the last two days. Dew point of 82 F(27.7C) yesterday and only 80F(26.6C) today. Tomorrow might be worse. Both the deerflies and mosquitos seem to be quite ravenous in this heat. Some might be used to this weather elsewhere, but not here and definitely not me.
Cheers

Here is some local wildlife munching on one of my apple trees. This deer must have known I was only armed with a camera as I was able to get within about 10 yds(9.1 m). Better here than in my garden.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I got a little surprise the other day. My wife opened the doors beneath the sink in the kitchen and there it was - the wet spot on the cardboard liner. Just great I thought " Plumbing problems." After cleaning all the products out from under the sink, I could finally get a good look and see if I could find the source of the leak. (I had replaced the metal trap and other assorted connecting pipes with plastic at least 15 years ago). All of the plastic was tight yet. However, the zinc ring underneath the sink which holds the sink drain in place was corroded as a result of, I am guessing, a small leak over time due to seal failure. So, off to the hardware store for a new stainless sink drain and a new supply of plumbers putty. (The existing stock I had had turned hard as a rock, because that was probably 15 years old also). After carefully cleaning all the crud off of the sink flange where the drain sits, I installed the new one. Lo and behold, no leaks on the first try - highly unusual for me. Total cost was $12.00 and my time. The other good thing was, it is now a lot cleaner under the sink because we got rid of things under there we should have tossed a while back. We also combined some bottles of 1/2 full containers of cleaning products (same to same). Ah, the joys of house maintenance.
Cheers

If only it was in season, that would have been in my freezer.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Kind of cheating when they are that close. Haven't hunted in years. Hope to this season. Have all my rifles ready for once.
