Re: Minnesota Crunchers

It was 28 this morning heading out fishing. Brrrrr. Stayed warm last night though, now that the cruncher in the bedroom is crunching away. Got a feeling we are in for a heavy snow/long winter.

There was a little frost here too. Finally gave me a chance to dig the rest of the potatoes today. The frost finally killed off the remaining vines. Yield was not too bad, but not anything like last year. Too much rain this year.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Our garden didn't do so well with all the rain. Tomatoes did pretty good but the rest suffered from to much rain.

We were living on borrowed time. Welcome to our instant winter wonderland. It might all melt off during the next week, albeit slowly.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hey team, I just flipped 60 years!

BTW, I am a teacher in Rush City, off I35 in Chisago County. I've moved 3 times since I started crunching. The move from IL was the big one.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Congrats, GTCola. That's a long time. What kind of hardware are you using?

South Minneapolis here, not far off I35W.

I'm looking to get 10 years + in all projects from here on out, but unfortunately the TB work units are quite elusive. Almost got it up to 5 years now but haven't seen one for a while.

Ah well, keep those machines going, as we could surely make use of any additional heat they provide at this point!

Congratulations. That is quite a bit of crunching. What grades and subjects do you teach ?(Only if you want to divulge that info.) I retired a few years ago from a career which had very little to do with teaching, but I got my sub license a couple of years ago. I mostly stick to middle school math and algebra, some science and a smattering of other classes. I have a full week stint coming up after Thanksgiving.
Cheers
