Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Ok, I read post number one in the thread and I'm guessing that Brianmn is the team founder. A little research shows that he is now a member of team IBM.

You are correct in that Brianmn is the team founder. Somehow brinktastee was able to contact him and have him vacate the the team captaincy. I had joined the team because I liked the name. I thought brink or txvb should have been the captain but they convinced me so here I am. Brink and txvb knew a bunch of the other people and gradually they got them to join. Pretty nice group of people as near as I can tell.

Cheers

Cool! Back to the original question, is the team going to enter this WCG challenge? http://boincstats.com/bam/challenges.php?action=details&chid=168
It doesn't look like my team is all that interested so if you would have me, I'd be happy to help out.

This looks like it is brinktastee's call. He is listed as the founder in the BAM profile. As far as I am concerned if he wants to jump into that challenge it is fine by me and we would be glad to have you. We would be glad to have you anyway. biggrin

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I am in with 7 cores, my wife is in with 2. (This is just for the challenge, I'm not jumping ship!) I just NNTed MC and will be looking to pick up two Bronze Badges in the two new WCG projects during this challenge.

The Malaria WUs in WCG make my i5 laptop run 7°C warmer than the Malaria Control project WUs.
