Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Thanks for the info on peom@home. Didn't know there was another medical boinc project for ATI cards. Will have to check the requirements out. Thanks.

rose Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hi,

Just thought I would start a team thread for Minnesota Crunchers. I picked this team because I thought it had a name which reflected my region and my interest. I live in Minnesota and I like to offer my idle computer cycles for something worthy.

Minnesota - Land of 10,000 Lakes
Land of 10,000 treatment centers
Land of 10,000 politicians (I wish the election season was over)

I don’t know who Brianmn (THE CAPTAIN) is, but he picked a good name. He seems to be missing for the moment. Hope he returns.

Feel free to join even if you don’t live here. There are a lot of former Minnesotans who may still feel the need to stay just a little bit connected.

Cheers

Sgt.Joe

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

It looks as if the rollout of the GPU app at POEM@home is delayed until at least tomorrow.

My GPUs are attached and waiting...

Kate, I went on their web site for information. Is this a new project? Not much information from what I found out. Can you select just the gpu and not wu's for the cpu? Would appreciate it if you let me know how the project works out for your gpu.

Well, now the POEM@home website says they're shooting for Mon. to get the GPU app out. I'll let you know if I have any luck getting WUs then. You're right that there's frustratingly little information on the website.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Is there a setting to crunch just GPU? With prime grid, one CPU core needed to be free when crunching with GPU. Same with this project?

I don't see an option for GPU only. They should have that in the works I would think.
