Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Am home folks. Had to stay extra due to realty bad muscle spasms, which in turn due to lack of oxygen, picked up psuemonia in right longue. Had me so pumped up with antibiotic and morphine, freaked out the staff and family. Came around Tuesday. Am home buzzing but can have a decent conversation. Anything new past 10 days?

Very glad to hear from you, Bearcat! When we didn't hear anything from you, I was afraid things weren't going smoothly. Glad you're home now, and I hope the rest of the recovery is much easier!

Yeah. Glad to see you back. Missed all of your remarks smile
Hope the rest of the recovery goes better than the first part. Remember to do what the Docs tell you so you get better soon.

Cheers

Hopefully I will have time to post a bit more tonight on further progress, including some bathroom cabinets from IKEA! :)

There is a lot of Scandinavian culture around here... also I have been to an IKEA store near Stockholm as well as Volvo HQ in Gothenburg... :D

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Been home since last Sunday. Feels great to sleep in my own bed. Making allot of adjustments. For now, not allowed to do pretty much anything for around 6 weeks. Just walk and sit. 5 pounds weight restrictions. No bending, twisting that would aggravate the fusion. 14 April will get 1st xray to see how fusion is going. Total of 3 months with brace. If all goes well after the 3 months, then I can start getting back to regular life style with restrictions. Won't go into details but my lifting is greatly reduced.
Had some bad times while in hospital picking up pneumonia. Scared the heck out of wife when they switched me to that oxy stuff (can't remember which) but got so whacked out I was saying things pretty wild. Wife and brother stepped in to remove that crap. After few days, came back to normal.
Doing pretty good now. Just taking it easy until the brace comes off. Can still manage my crunching rigs. The pre planning paid off. Unless I get a catastrophic crash, should be good to go. Thanks again for your support.

Good to see you back. That oxi stuff was probably oxycodone or a similar drug. They are used for pain relief and are pretty addictive. I knew a person who was on the same or similar medication for cancer pain and he could not tolerate it. He said it gave him terrible nightmares and they had to find something different. Take cae and be careful so you heal well.

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Not bad but you can build a better PC with a sandy bridge chip cheaper. Not sure if you ever built one before but if you can, do it. You would save a few hundred bucks. Is the new computer for home stuff or business stuff? Your list above doesn't state what size PSU. Do you know what it is and maker?
