----------------------------------------I'm thinking Podcast one Audio one Video. To all contributors to this thread you do know that we have to do this ourselves. IBM are much too busy providing us with this Grid with which we can make a difference and in this they are doing a great, excellent, fabulous and V reliable job - rest assured that the scientists we are supporting get the data we are providing - it's a given. This is what is great about the WCG But it's up to us to get out and promote. I'm happy to host the above which could be linked to in blogs, sent as a link in an email, linked on a website (and added to Stumbleupon) and placed on iTunes under Science + I'm happy to put one together. What I could use though is some raw material, script idea's, crunchers photo's of their kit, photos of crunchers even, reasons for doing this, that crazy server farm you run in your garage or that huge deployment of blade servers at that corporation that has graciously allowed you to run the BOINC Client on their back office systems. Even video if you think you might be the next Spielberg, Video even if you are not - I'll see what I can do with it As soon as anyone sends me anything I'll press the go button on this and make it a reality - It's a promise, Scout's honour (I made it from the Cub's through to Ventures so the promise is a good one  )My email address is hiding behind the picture of an envelope below my sig Dave  |

David, that's what I've been thinking too... the job of promoting is left to us. So let's show them what we can do! I've been trying to get the local TV, newspapers and magazine people to do something on WCG. The more I try the more I get the impression they have a long line of people at their door looking for free advertising/promotion. I will keep hounding them but I think you've got a great idea.
I'll tidy up and shoot some stills for you, hopefully some video too. I don't know much about the various video formats so let us know if there are any formats you cannot work with. Also, which formats are the easiest for you to work with? |

But MPEG2 would make a good standard to start from then I can probably resize and compress down from there. If you need to send MBytes of footage I'll set you up an FTP account to transfer to my server |

I know a few in Holland who have very popular blogs who are into podcasting linking and do not shy away, in fact love 'geekeesh' presentations with a message, so lets have it.
----------------------------------------The other day someone here asked me what language the Olandese speak.....English..... (will be perfectly fine)!

I'm sure if we get a script for the Audio Podcast there should be plenty of volunteers to translate and create the same in every language around the globe
