I originally had this problem of missing machines after the startup, but they eventually appeared. Those were Linux machines.
----------------------------------------However, I placed a new Windows system online this past Friday using the download button directly from the WCG website and it's yet to show in "Devices" after two-days now. I *do* see it listed in the "Results" page (with validated results). I don't know if these are batch-processed manually by someone or automated, but was confused since I thought it'd surely shown by now. I'm also having this issue. My linux desktop is not showing up under devices; I just started with WCG earlier this month.
My device ID, as it appears in my local BOINC xml files is: 8674500 However, manually using that number to check the device management page as described above does not work - it says "The device you attempted to view could not be found". This is despite having hundreds of completed results listed under my results page. My account number is 1156992. |

GuiltyDoggy , I reported this problem to the larger Issue List.
How many days have you been running without any feedback of your device(s) on the website? This is Day #5 that a new system of mine isn't showing. All my others eventually showed when this problem first surfaced several weeks ago. Sorry you're having this issue out-of-the-gate, but did want to extend a "Welcome" since we need all the Volunteers we can get. |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I joined and started crunching jobs on Nov 2. None of the jobs I’ve done (~400 completed so far) have shown up in my dashboard.

Spiderman is correct, the issue is on our Comprehensive Issue List, along with all of the other known issues. If the issue persists, check back to that thread every once in a while to see if there are any updates to the situation. Also, welcome to the WCG, we're happy to have you! Hi GuiltyDoggy,
I see device 8674500 matching your account in the WCG BOINC server database, along with many recent results (thanks!). I can also see that this device has no entry on our webserver's database, which is why it doesn't appear in your device list on the WCG website. Updated device data is supposed to propagate from one DB to the other, but fails in some cases. We're looking into the cause. Aside: So why doesn't WCG's BOINC server use the same database as the webserver? Worse, they don't even use the same DB platform. There are complicated, historical reasons, but none that apply today. It's an awkward arrangement and an ongoing pain-point for us that we're stuck with until we can overhaul it. But for now, WCG internals rely on a system of automated scripts to keep the data updated between DBs. That system has some cracks, clearly. Thank you for providing those specifics. They provide a good data-point for our investigation. Christian |

GuiltyDoggy, if you haven't checked into BOINStats yet (https://www.boincstats.com ), it's mighty handy if you have your profile set to allow export of your data.
There's a Host Page, which shows each machine's credit; another page showing your standing against other Volunteers; and another allowing you to generate a "signature" that you've probably seen others use in the Forum. I check it daily while awaiting my latest machine to show in WCG's Device list -- pretty handy. |

It has! Well, sort of. The Devices page seems accurate now - it shows my machines and ~900 results returned in total.
The Overview and History pages now show some, but not all results. They show 116 results returned. Probably just needs a bit more time to import the past results, maybe. Thanks to the tech team for the fix! |
