I have the same problem. I went to look at the progress of tasks for my laptop, "aborted by project" on both the Open Pandemics and Marking Cancer Markers tasks. Didn't seem to affect the desktop machine, just the laptop (my 2nd device). No history after January 27th.

Krembil seems to have some glitches in synchronizing their databases, but they eventually get around to it. I'm still waiting for my renamed device name issue to be resolved. Several forum posts and two support emails so far. I did receive one email stating "Missing devices are an issue we have heard from many volunteers and the tech team are working on fixing it. I'll redirect your email to them so they can help you figure it out once they have a solution.". All my devices are appearing in Devices. I renamed one device. The old device name is still appearing in Devices. This is a different issue. I sent another support email last week clarifying the issue. No reply from Krembil. I've been waiting for a couple months to get this fixed. This shouldn't be this difficult. All that's needed is to run this SQL (or something similar) on the Web database ... update <device-table> set device-name = 'Dell-Optiplex-990' where device-id = 8649578; WCG tech support - #2791 Cyclops, Chiara.p, Cubes, Can I please, please, please get an update on this? I've not received any reply to my support emails or forum posts ... I've renamed the machine again and the new name is still not being reflected in Devices. Thanks, AgrFan Hi AgrFan, that's really strange, all emails about missing devices should receive immediate responses...I'll ask the tech team about this since some other volunteers were also reporting not getting email responses. In the meantime, you could send your missing device's information here and I will send it to the tech team through a more reliable method. |

Hi Cyclops, all of my device IDs are appearing in Devices.

The device name for Device ID 8649578 in Results does not match the device name in Devices. --> Results shows 'Dell-PC' which is correct. --> Devices shows 'DESKTOP-3GO6IMC' which is incorrect. This issue started after I renamed the machine in Windows. I renamed it again last week and the device name in Devices still did not get updated. This should be pretty easy to replicate in your environment to verify it's happening. It's obviously broken and should be fixed. I sent support emails including screenshots on 12/15, 12/20 and 1/24.
