Hi spRocket,
----------------------------------------I also seem to be amassing a rather large quantity of "Downloading" tasks for Open Pandemics and as previously mentioned, Africa Rainfall Project. This has been the trend for more than a week at least. Cheers, Triston

The current situation I'm noticing is that work units are coming in on a here-and-there basis, with no stuck downloads. This is balanced by uploads now being slow, but at least not getting stuck. I'm seeing OPNG uploads stacking up behind an ARP WU working its way back up. Still, it's an improvement.

Over here is the UK, all the backlogs seem to have disappeared. 2 or 3 days ago, all 3 of my machines had significant transfer queues to such an extent that one didn't have enough work to do - running 3/4T. Now there are no transfers pending.

I just a batch of about 10 downloads for my Windows machine which downloaded without manual intervention. We'll have to see if that continues.

I just a batch of about 10 downloads for my Windows machine which downloaded without manual intervention. We'll have to see if that continues. When I just started to check about an hour ago, all my local machines here that had gotten some new WUs over night had stuck downloads, for anywhere from 5 to 15 WUs, mostly MCM, and had to be "bootstrapped". It looked like they might have worked on something yesterday, as I didn't get ANY WUs for more than 12h between any of my hosts, with about 20-30WUs, across 6-7 hosts started to show up in the afternoon (PDT) and then maybe a couple of hundred total over night. But pretty much all of those were on some form of re-try and backoff when I checked. So I am pretty sure we are still far off from a satisfactory resolution of that particular issue with WCG...Cheers Ralf |

Edit: I checked the Linux machines which both had a number of stuck downloads. However it only took a few pushes on the retry button in order to get them started. I highlight the entire queue so each push of the retry button affects all of the downloads. Once they got started, they pretty much took off with no further intervention. I surmise they are finally getting a handle on the problem. Not fully fixed yet, but better. Cheers

I hate to say anything for fear of jinxing progress, but the "stuck in download" issues seems to be vastly improved this morning. My caches of the gpu wus keeps growing toward the 50 max/client and nothing is stuck in download.

This has the same effect as you describe without the need to highlight all transfers. |

About the most I ever used the tools option for was to check the event log. I never added a project until WCG was down for a while. Good advice. Now that the issue is almost fixed I should even need to worry about much longer. Cheers
