I have had a whole day without a connection owing to Kaspersky banning the connection due to the expiry of the website certification. Back now! Has nothing to do with Kaspersky or such. The SSl certificate for the domain had simply expired on Friday morning at 5am (PDT) and thus all https traffic was simply refused by any browser or transfer client that would be using SSL to authenticate the connection,Yesterday should have been the last day of the certification so they were a bit premature. I presume it has now been renewed. Mike And the renewal date just wasn't on their radar, until it was right on top of them. [Edit 1 times, last edit by TPCBF at Sep 11, 2022 4:57:04 AM] |

We use certificates as part of our operations, and we have monitoring systems that periodically check the expiration dates on the active certificates in use. They start alerting weeks in advance. They would have been screaming all week. I know Rome was not built in a day, but I hope they are maintaining a backlog to work through as things get resolved. |

I see that happen quite often...doesn't anybody use a calendar anymore (preferably one that any needed folks can see...that probably needs to go on the calendar too...) |

I have noticed that if you update the project then go back and retry the transfer, quite often they will then go through. It's like you got the attention of the server and then it puts you at the front of the line...
Unfortunately, since the # of posts gets so deep, I don't know how many foks will read this and see this suggestion. And as Krembil hasn't been pruning threads, we can't yell at the newbies to read the past posts. Heck, I wouldn't want to read through 10 pages of posts then have to go through another 6 on another. I've just adopted a if I get work, cool, if not, that's a shame... just more time for DENIS@home. |

Don't know what has changed, but the download seems to run smoothly now. No retries/backoffs for at least 16 hours now, on all my machines.
