Sounds like what I've adopted. I call it the "Que sera sera" plan.
For those of you not familiar with the old song here is the first two lines of the chorus: Qué será, será Whatever will be, will be I just set up another project to keep the PC busy when I don't receive WCG WUs. No WUs, so be it. Whatever will be, will be. |

Don't know what has changed, but the download seems to run smoothly now. No retries/backoffs for at least 16 hours now, on all my machines. I got many http errors one hour ago. |

Of course the http errors are back. The problem isn't fixed yet, so as soon as new batches are sent out, the same http errors will come back.
----------------------------------------The problem disappears temporarily when there are mostly resends being sent out. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Sep 12, 2022 7:08:08 PM] |

I'm not going to bring my farm online until I know Kerbal has given the word all systems go.
Actually, getting frustrated by the lack of communication. Wouldn't take over a few minutes to drop in on the forum and give us an update. |

Things seem to have been resolved regarding the Download issues.
I have not seen a stuck download in the last few days. |

I am seeing massive numbers of transient HTTP errors. All uploads seem to go fine. It is only on the download. I see a higher chance of no HTTP error if one single download active instead of two. If there was a way to limit the download stream to one, it might lower the stress on the servers, increase the number of successful downloads.
Later when the root cause is fixed the download streams could be opened back up to 2. |

To automate retries I use Adri's wcgresults from
----------------------------------------https://sourceforge.net/projects/wcgtools/files/ On Linux use command crontab -e to create a timer to run every 15 minutes with option -x. Paul.
