Re: OpenPandemics GPU Beta Test - March 26 2021 [ Issues Thread ]

The no reply person has 3 total results that all went no reply. For your workunit, yes, you had to basically do all the calculations in each job. Unfortunately I can not tell the future on these jobs to know what they will do. But this particular work unit was very difficult on every job.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

24 Calculations https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/...s.do?workunitId=596793907
0.03 / 0.94 0.3 / 891.7
29 Calculations https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/...s.do?workunitId=596792236
0.04 / 1.11 0.3 / 1,023.1
The difference seems ok.

Please remember, that each work unit has multiple jobs. These jobs have calculations inside that have a max set for them. Some jobs have 50,000 calculations, and others have 10,000,000+. This is also a reason you see 24 and 29, these are the jobs. If both of these work units ran 100% of their calculations in all their jobs, then they would be awarded the same. If a work unit with 5 jobs runs all 5 jobs at 100%, then they would be awarded more than a work unit with 100 jobs running at 20%. This is because the points are based on the estimate of what they were sized as when we send them out.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Yep! The older I get the less I seem to need sleep.

Re: OpenPandemics GPU Beta Test - March 26 2021 [ Issues Thread ]

I have been running a few Intel iGPUs on this beta project since they were first released.
Previous beta tests for this project finished fine on my Intel iGPUs.
This last beta however, they are running for 5 hours and then erroring out.
Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue?

I'm retired, and during this GPU Beta, I seem to have switched to the TZ in Texas, instead of GMT+2 (DST). laughing

Edit: I'm getting WU's now.

Can you send me an example or 2 of the work unit names you are seeing an issue with?

Thanks,

Also, I just released the grouping of 200 batches into beta. They should be running soon, and as Grumpy Swede already noticed, he has some.

There are a total of 72636 work units submitted. These work units are from batches 200-399. Some of the members have machines that are already considered reliable and do not require a wingman. So the actual number of results to be sent out will be less than 2 x 72636.

Thanks again for all the help with Beta testing and for changing your sleeping patterns :)

@Uplinger

That's true, but a reliable machine will sometimes (often) be paired with a non-reliable machine. I have already a couple WU's that I'm paired with a non-reliable machine (my being WU's _1). That's OK though, I'm happy to be validating the results of non-reliable machines smile
