FYI,
New validator is in place and it appears to be working. I am almost done with the work unit building for the next beta. It should be available in the next hour. Thanks, -Uplinger |

FYI, New validator is in place and it appears to be working. Thanks, -Uplinger I see I received credit for some of the resends I received today. Any chance for the points to be retroactive?
In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

While I wait for work to build, let me see if I can retroactively award points. It may be difficult to add points too far back because when a work unit is assimilated it has about 24 hours on the database and system before it is cleared off. This would make giving out points retroactively very hard. I'm trying to see what I can do for those still on the system. Thanks, -Uplinger |

I still have PVs that will probably end up as no reply resends.

Thanks, -Uplinger Ok, sooooooooooo this is a bigger problem than I think I should try to fix for retro actively awarding points. We have done this in the past for error work units for a specific project once. However, to do this, I would need to make sure that I do not make a major mistake, as well as changes to team/host/user stat tables. Previously we did it only to add credit that wasn't granted. This means a writing of a whole new script to try to update stats and push them in to the correct tables. All of which would need to be tested and confirmed and reviewed with extreme caution. With regret, I am not going to proceed going down that path. It is way to risky for something to be done quickly when the goal is to launch GPU. When looking at the database, it would only help the 2200 results (1100 workunits) that are still in the tables. Again, I extremely appreciate everyone for their work on Beta and helping of testing. I wish I had the points in place earlier as those are important to many of the volunteers. However, I did prioritize the science application first. Thanks, -Uplinger |

The only ones that currently show on my stats page are resends.

As far as I'm concerned, points are just the icing on the cake. I will eat the cake without the icing.
----------------------------------------If I get the hours spent on the WU's credited to me, then that's a good enough icing for me. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Mar 30, 2021 10:46:30 PM] |
