Re: OpenPandemics GPU Beta Test - March 26 2021 [ Issues Thread ]

5 minutes. I'm going to release a small batch first and get some of those results before loading in more. Since this is not a change to the science application, I'm going to consider it a continuation of this current test.

Batches will start with OPNG_0000160 -

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Currently crunching my first. Just did ~160 jobs since my post. That's awesome. Hope that really helps the scientific effort in the long term! Again, great job!

And they're done. No more downloaded for the moment.

Edit: Good icing on those "cakes" though smile

As it was told, when its going live. we will be working on bigger " structures " then cpu version . Any prediction on data sizes for download upload on units ?

Re: OpenPandemics GPU Beta Test - March 26 2021 [ Issues Thread ]

About to release some more. The first few results shows the fix for the bug i commented on earlier in this thread. I have been able to prove that it has been corrected. I am planning to release 17 more batches in a few minutes. Then I will release 3 batches of CPU work on this beta to provide the results for the researchers so they can validate the results and let us know if we can proceed towards production release.

I will also release more batches in the morning after I get back some data from the first 20 batches that will have been run on Beta.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Well, these are not too big, but they're not CPU sized. CPU WU's only have a few "jobs" 2-3. These Beta ones have for the ones I just did, up to 30+ "jobs"

When we get to larger more difficult structures, the upload and download sizes will decrease as there will be less "jobs" within an individual work unit. The researchers will release those to us when they can.

Thanks,
