Sunday Report .
Only 2 units validated in 7 days. All stopped on Tuesday.due to the lack of new work yet again.. Assuming that a full generation 182 will be the last, there are 1,732,199 units still outstanding. My forecasting has been suspended! The definitions have remained unchanged. There ae main 40 Extremes and 21 Accelerated units, although the numbers in their generations are 212 & 5,267 due to lack of movement.. Mike |

Thanks for the update Mike, even if there isn't much to update. I'm sure we are all frustrated by the lack of information on the ARP project. I'd love to know if this is a WCG issue (we can't run ARP as our system isn't robust enough for this project) or an ARP issue (they are still working on moving results to tape). Does ARP need donations??
----------------------------------------I'm trying not to be sad about the slow progress and to stay productive. I'm working on my MCM year badge. Hopefully something good will happen here by then (around 50 days). If not I'll look for another BOINC site to do as I enjoy chatting on boards about the projects I'm doing, and I feel ARP has a good community when it is active, but it is just sad here when we don't know what is going on. I suspect that it is a bit of both.
As a Medical Research Institute, Krembil might be reluctant to get the extra resources for a non-medical project (extra bandwidth and equipment only needed for ARP). Their finances will be limited. Likewise, Delft might be struggling to get the extra storage required for such a large project. And then there is Covid which may be reducing staff available at both places. Mike |

No ARP work unit for my servers since Nov 17th. I have 10 servers idle at this time, hoping for an update, or I will plan to shut them down till next year.

There are other projects to keep those machines occupied, depending on your interests.
With the festive season approaching, I suspect a return of ARP is not likely before January, but I may be wrong. Mike |

Unixchick,
Thank you for having a prod at Krembil about the lack of ARPs. I've just got some, though I did have to "Retry pending transfers" to get them to download. Cheers, Mark |

I have also just got a bunch of new tasks. Should keep me going till the next new batch from CPDN arrive.

Nearly 4 hours of constant retries and the last module has just downloaded. When will Krembil learn to send ARP in smaller batches? Their servers can't cope with the load.

I've finally gone one too - and like you had to sit here mashing "retry now" for ages!
