What is the opposite of a can of worms? The opposite of a "can of worms" would be a single monolithic fact or action with a singular conclusion or outcome. (Best I can do on the spur of the moment.) Cheers

Thank you Capt. Joe.
I think that definition covers what I have in mind very well. |

We had our monthly call with the MIP researchers today.
There are plenty of MIP work units in the pipeline right now, and the team (the researchers and our tech team) will also make sure that there are plenty to last through the holiday season. The researchers are in the very early stages of writing papers, and are coordinating their efforts across their institutions. (The writing/editing process can take many months, so there won't be a quick update on this.) They've created a project update, which is being approved now and will be posted early next week. |

Just finished our monthly call with the researchers.
1. They're almost ready to submit their first paper to be reviewed for publication. 2. They're continuing to create models to predict the functions of proteins, and this work is going very well (this is related to their first paper). 3. They'll be sending us more work units over the next week or so. 4. They're starting to think about how to make their data publicly available to other researchers--they will do this sooner rather than later, possibly after they publish their first paper. |
