BETA_BETA_9999984_0041_0:
stuck after 1:12h CPU time (elapsed 2:44h) at 13.429%, CPU usage dropped to 44%. Suspend/Resume task - continues..

Output file size exceeded limit (10MB):
BETA_BETA_9999987_0310_2 exceeds size limit. File size: 44058457.000000 bytes.
BETA_BETA_9999984_0332_1 exceeds size limit. File size: 44034263.000000 bytes.

BETA_BETA_9999984_0261_0:
No checkpoint (!) even after 5:38h elapsed (93%).

BETA_BETA_9999984_0326_1:
Elapsed: 5.06h (99%), last checkpoint: 1:09h (!). Finished OK.

Checkpointing seems very variable - some tasks perform 25 checkpoints, some <5, some 0.

Re: New Beta Test starting Oct 31, 2013 [Issues Thread]

Since I am at work, I can't check the progress, so just remote observations for now:

- Full (down)load: 8 for i7 + 4 for i5.
- 2 already errored: 1 on my i7-3770 Win7 64b 7.2.26 after 2.63 hours, 1 on my i5-2500S MAC OS X 10.9. (Mavericks) 7.0.65 after 2.68 h. Wingmen still In progress.
- The other 10 In progress.
...
Good luck and cheers peace

ETA1: 1 on Win Valid (CPU Time 1.30 h), 2 on Mac PVal (CPU time 3.57 and 3.48 h)
ETA2. methink 10 days deadline for Betas is a bit long rolling eyes

Re: New Beta Test starting Oct 31, 2013 [Issues Thread]

Got two which have finished half an hour ago with the following times:
BETA_ BETA_ 9999984_ 0328_ 0-- 3,53 / 3,67
BETA_ BETA_ 9999984_ 0020_ 1-- 3,62 / 3,74

"0020" was successful from a client viewpoint (still Pending Validation).
"0328" ran till its end but has been declared in error because of a too-big output file:
Output file BETA_BETA_9999984_0328_0_0 for task BETA_BETA_9999984_0328_0 exceeds size limit.
File size: 45672656.000000 bytes. Limit: 10485760.000000 bytes

If that may explain it (?) "0328" has had to compute 2441 passes versus only 114 for "0020".

Both jobs have been constantly checkpointing every 10-12 minutes (WtD set at 60 seconds).

Running BOINC 7.0.27 under Ubuntu 13.04

Edit: And I forgot:
Credits claimed 15.7 per hour, vs 22.6 for a faah and 46.1 for a FAHV.
Consistency, consistency... crying

Re: New Beta Test starting Oct 31, 2013 [Issues Thread]

Rob - sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to tell me.
There are 540GB free on the drive, 390MB WCG data, limits set to 10 GB disk space, use at most 50%.

The last sentence of your post between first and second edit [while I was typing], changed substantially. These tasks, as others have found, are limited to use 512MB at most [as per the disk_bound limit]. How 524 million converts back to KB... a KB has 1024 bees, so 1024*1024*500 = 524288000, as some also found not 512MB that uplinger specified.

So far, 2 remain stuck in .500%... I'll have them run till they time out, if they ever will [not sure if Elapsed or CPU time is measured, where CPU time is stuck on 1]. The high variability in runtimes poses an issue... 'credit new' is incapable of handling that fairly on a job to job basis, but that's beating a dead British horse that ended already up in the mucca based sausages on the Italian plates, shipped to us, courtesy, Lidl Germany... a complete waste of time discussing.

edit: insert closing bracket.

Re: New Beta Test starting Oct 31, 2013 [Issues Thread]

Running Win 7 on Intel 2140 with Simap as well as WCG.
I have switch between tasks set to 60 minutes.
The one beta I received was running fine with the progress % changing every second. At 1 hr 3 minutes the task switched to a simap unit at 30.021% completed.
I suspended the simap task and the work switched back to the beta wu as expected.
However the progress is still at 30.021% 15 minutes later. The computer is very reliable and can complete hundreds of wu's without error.
I have then closed down Boinc and restarted. The beta wu restarted then
returned to 0.5% completed, and showed the elapsed time at 1hr 3 minutes again. A few minutes later the progress has started updating again. At 1hr 9 minutes it is up to 31.5% completed.
