Not a problem, just a highlight given a previous test comment, noted this as a special attention point: The almost 32MB txt database file, one time download to serve all tasks processed, arrived here in 13 seconds! Real time compression, showed in BM Transfer window it topped out at a mean transfer rate of 2.2MB... never ever seen this for WCG, past peaks usually topping out at 0.7MB o0n large files.

As you can see, so fast, it all happened within the 18:10 minute. Whilst, the Linux box has 4, autostarting in HP mode... what else to expect with 2 days deadline ;)

Edit: Progress % starts counting up in little bits on a regular basis AFTER the initial checkpoint has been reached. All that while, progress sits static at 0.500%. This phase lasted on the Linux box about 8-10 minutes, for 3. The 4th is now 15 minutes, progress is counting up slowly, but no checkpoint recorded yet [very easy to see in BOINCTasks]. The first one was taken at about 4%.

edit2: It's interesting that even the science application itself is soft_linked to the full one in the projects folder... certainly improves speed and storage efficiency.

Now I wonder... this can't be in anyway be a cause of these restart issues some have? (Do not see a comment in the announcement post that this problem was addressed/fixed).

This is probably because the weight of the project on the feeder is set to low. For example, if 1 result is put on the feeder every 5 seconds, it means you have to be the first within that 5 second interval to request. This is just a possible reason why you haven't received one.

In the end, please check your event log for what messages you're getting back from the server, this might show a different issue.

Just got a few :-)

One machine picked 2 WUs, after 11 mins one WU is @ 6%, the other stuck @ 0.5%. Similar situation on another machine...

Check your [system] event log... the security software might need training again. The 11 I have sofar and running are 33 minutes and further ahead on the W7-64 and Linux 64. No Beta receipt on W7-32 yet i.e. can't tell anything for that platform.
