In view of the amount of cpu involved would those of you reporting runtimes/realtimes be kind enough to also report cpu type and speed.

Okay, gonna need an app_info.xml so that my machines get only GPU tasks for HCC, while my CPUs get only other specific projects. The app_info.xml language baffles me, even after all these years. PLEASE?

PLEASE? Same here...please. I am also completely baffled by app_info.xml and retired from the field much bloodied with the POEM project. Thanks for help....... ![]() crunching, crunching, crunching. We are still sending work for both cpu and gpu. There is no option at this time to enable 'hcc gpu', 'faah cpu' However, we have just started a serious look at what to do going forward so hopefully we will be able to give you the flexability you want down the road. Thanks Knreed. Totally understand being allot of hard work and time you and staff has done to get this project going. My hats off to the WCG team for a job well done. Separate settings would be great though so one can still focus on a particular project (not utilizing GPU) and one project crunch with GPU. Thanks again.

I second the desire to be able to crunch GPU-only for one project, while doing CPU computing for another. This would help with badge hunting, as I'm currently hunting a badge for HFCC but would like to able to use my GPU to get a head start on HCC, which I assume will be the next "hot" subproject. Instead, I've got HFCC on the CPUs and Collatz on the GPUs.

I second the desire to be able to crunch GPU-only for one project, while doing CPU computing for another. That can be done pretty easily! Go to your preferences page, deselect HCC as a project you want to run and select the box that you want to work on GPU WUs if your graphics cards is capable of it. Works fine for me! Getting only GPU WUs for HCC but no CPU WUs ![]()
Cheers,

If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above.
----------------------------------------Looking at this, it states you have to select a project. Will uncheck HCC to see what happens.

What difference would a 2gb GC have over a 1gb GC with regards GPU Crunching? (EG: 2gb HD6670 vs 1gb HD6670).

Running on ati 5770, but desktop is absolutely lagging. Can I limit percentage of GPU to utilized?
