On My Nvidia GT 540M it takes approx 19 to 21 minutes to complete a GPU WU.

This is very exciting news! Open the flood gates we'll drink them up :)

The flood gates seem to be open and have run a few through on some 5850s and a 5870 along with a 6570 and 6450
----------------------------------------I don't think my times are as great as some have mentioned, but I believe about 4 minutes for the 5850 on xp64 and 3 minutes for the 5870 on windows 7 and 6570 is around 10 and 20ish for the 6450 both running in a windows 7 machine. |

You may try this :
in profile it is OK to limit the number of CPUs (in case of multicore), but each CPU must run at 100% capacity. This trick solved my problems of GPU computing in beta testing WCG last summer. |

My initial findings indicates that there are some performance bottlenecks and tuning to iron out.
On my ATI 7970 each work unit takes 1 minute and 40 seconds to complete. The first 20 seconds uses no GPU processing then there is 40 seconds of GPU activity at about 68% utilisation then the GPU goes idle for the remaining 40 seconds. So 1 minute uses no GPU and then I am only using 68% for about 40 seconds. Still much better than CPU performance but maybe larger work units and some optimisation would really help. |

From what I gathered of my 7850,
----------------------------------------2 minute runtime. First 20 seconds of runtime is just CPU processing, then GPU kicks in. Last 40 Seconds of runtime, stuck at 99.945% then completes. Still 2 minutes is faster than the normal 38 I would normally get. |

Are all HCC wu's GPU only? I selected HCC since i didn't see a separate project listing for this.
----------------------------------------Just checked my crunchers and see am getting both. Was hoping for a separate setting to get just the GPU version only.
Crunching for humanity since 2007!

We are still sending work for both cpu and gpu.
There is no option at this time to enable 'hcc gpu', 'faah cpu' However, we have just started a serious look at what to do going forward so hopefully we will be able to give you the flexability you want down the road. |

please someone give a list of compatible cards! That says and lists:"What graphics cards are not able to participate in the Help Conquer Cancer research project?" BETA-esque trial and error when new GPU cards are sold to see if they produce valid results. Don't worry about me, I'm just thinking ahead. Congrats to all the WCG techs and BETA testers to have the production started. You all put in lots of work. |
