I got just one and the results made me happy: 108 seconds on an ATI 6570 for 193.6 points. I have been using Nvidia for folding. I think it is time for a change. |

A main question is, what continuity does WCG expect to deliver on GPU work units, daily, week, month. Once we get these finished beta testing and moved into production, then we will provide a steady stream of GPU work for at least as long as the Help Conquer Cancer project runs. Hopefully we will have other research applications running on GPU in the future but that is purely speculative at this time (but highly desired). It very much depends on the research applications that are available. |

Or maybe IBM knows HCC GPU means that XS is gonna trounce them in the stats - and is purposely withholding betas to XS members... I'd love to have another user set trounce the IBM team |

Finally received and processed WUs following info as posted here and so far this round received 19 WUs (4 valid, 12 invalid and 3 inconclusive)

This is likely a stupid question but are these GPU Betas?

You know, it would be nice if there were a way to make available a bunch of duplicate GPU WUs that folks could use to test their rigs. I do see control issues but it would be nice anyway. I suppose the only real test will be when the beta ends. Kind Regards to all. |

The time dear Sir, the time... 5 minutes (the credit is meant to match the CPU version fairly, long as only one X-Ray image is packaged in 1 task) :D If you'd use BOINCTasks you'd actually be able to track it back in the history where the application is shown that ran the test.

And how to test, ad nauseam, without taxing the servers, which at this stage is not a good idea: Suspend crunching before the GPU task is started, set client to suspend network, stop BOINC, make a backup of data dir, start BOINC and run. When not happy, stop BOINC, restore backup. The scenario is well scriptable.
The test unit idea thread is not bad in itself, but it's another feature to maintain [keep the results current to match those in production too, plus science app versions that should not be confused with the production version... that with a dozen sciences, some with 2 different apps and 4 platforms a serious undertaking in man hours] --//-- |

Works too, long as the task is still in the slot. :D
Task manager I presume is than showing this (from the result log): wcg_beta3_img_6.44_windows_intelx86__cuda_opencl True? --//-- |
