Do you have a firewall with some kind of sandbox for newly downloaded files? Might be you have to approve those. Thanks for the idea. I'm only using the Windows firewall, which doesn't need any specific configuring like that. |

Running BETA_SN2S_A37114_0000001_0204. Selected that task, hit Tasks, Show graphics. Grey window opened, then immediately an error dialogue: "wcg_beta14_graphics_6.13_windows_intelx86 has stopped working". It's repeatable. A follow-up. I've rebooted, but that made no difference. The graphics crash isn't always immediate, though. Sometimes the black background and progress bar appears ok and it takes up to a minute before the window turns grey and it crashes. The same problem occurs with all 3 Beta WUs running. The graphics on the running CEP2 WU work ok, no crashing. |

tonyh205,
Can you send your stderrgfx.txt file to me to look at? You can do this by emailing it to support@worldcommunitygrid.org with "Attn: Seippel" in the subject. Also, can you try to display the graphics for a non-Beta work units and see if you get the same problem there? Lastly, do you have any problems running just the screen saver? For others: I haven't been able to recreate this locally, has anyone else had this problem? Seippel |

Also, can you try to display the graphics for a non-Beta work units and see if you get the same problem there? Sorry, I missed the bit about trying with a CEP2 work unit the first time. You might try with a GFAM or DSFL work unit though to see if the problem occurs on one of those. Seippel |

Mine are working fine here. Tried opening multiple graphics windows from simple+advanced view and via screensaver.
----------------------------------------The aforementioned stderrgfx.txt reads: 00:36:44 (6264): Starting graphics application. Successfully loaded '../../projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/beta14_image02_6.13.tga'... ERROR: setStretchDim - Could not find SNS_Slide5_caption.tga Then this line repeated for dozens of times: ERROR: setStretchDim - Could not find SNS_Slide5_caption.tga and at the bottom: 00:47:11 (1668): Close event (mouse move) detected, shutting down. 00:47:11 (1668): Shutting down graphics application. Application did not crash while opening the file. Reopening the file adds this text to the end of the log file: 00:53:56 (4932): Starting graphics application. Successfully loaded '../../projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/beta14_image02_6.13.tga'... edit: "mouse move" might be a result of the screen saver output i've been just trying. Checked the graphics on 14 work units over 3 computers (windows7 and vista) and there were no problems.

Checked the graphics on the one and only beta WU I received. No problem (running under BOINC 6.10.58 on Ubuntu 10.04.3).

Only got two this round and I haven't been able to break them yet. They are pretty long running though, the shortest one is headed for over 10 hours.
