Wow, and off an SSD at that. Saw one that can hit 290MB/S transfer speed. Compared to a Flash memory stick topping out at 28MB for mine, that's ten fold.

I'm running 5 betas simultaneously on my quad (w/ HT) and all 5 of them have an efficency of ~97-98% so far. Great improvement for me - it was at ~88-90% before!

Ouch, that was a crash!
----------------------------------------I got 2 betas last night, and I started them immediately. This morning I found my PC in hibernation (which it only does if there is no work). After wakeup, the background image was converted to noise, and the BOINC manager told me that it didn't have the right password (I don't know of any password). After reboot everything was back to normal. So I checked what happened to the WUs. At crash time I had 5 WUs in the queue, 2 had some hours done already, 1 waiting, 2 betas. All 5 were reported back as errors, and BOINC got new WUs. The errors I got for the 3 HFCC WUs was "CreateProcess() failed" - all work was lost. Pity not getting any on my Linux box (if there were any). Maybe it was skipped because the daily production had already dropped to 2 years per day ... all those suspended CEP2 tasks ;P

Well, I woke up and check the laptop that kept erroring out on CEP2 BETA's. After the BOINC update and reboot, it now seems to be completing WU's for CEP2. Currently on 40%. Much higher then any of the others got.

If the 980/x can handle them at 99% efficiency with HT on, my simple 64bit, 32 bit OSsed duo should do well too... still 24 minutes on 11 hours Elapsed... 96.2%... think I'd be happy to fly with that and skip the RAMDisk trip. Hope this passes with same improvement or better to the Linux crunchers.
