By the way my new machine put out 39,616 points today. We'll take 'em!  The real question is what does it put out once what goes into PV on any given day levels out. When you start up a new machine, you start with all new work in a fresh "queue" that is typically 10 days from its due dates. Most of those first WUs go straight to the PV jail but that decreases each day until you have about as much going in as you do coming out. This might be a 50K/day machine after all! |

Bummer!!! Had to BRS my quad. Looks like it hung up around lunchtime today and I didn't catch it. Lost about a third of a day. I had a video card (e-GeForce go belly up on me and I have a machine down. There are 5 capacitors that have gone bad and are venting the electrolyte out the top. Oddly enough the tops of these things and the 5 still good ones are scored...like they knew this would happen. Anyway it is old and a replacement with the same capabilities only cost about $30. So the machine is sitting there with the case open waiting on "eggsaver" shipping from NewEgg. Perhaps Monday or Tuesday. Depending on how you look at it, it is either very late or very early (2:20 AM) so... Good Morning All. (No coffee at this hour)OK...now it is time for coffee (8:57 AM). Keithhenry it sure might and though the rest of the machine was expensive the processor was only about $285., which is amazing to me. As RT is K---- my B---- I need to build a new machine! Competition is good. Of course RT is the expert. Saw we hit a record the other day, great work team.

I have seen experts on this stuff and I can assure you that I am not an expert; the most that I could claim is to be a student with a poor memory. Competition? If anyone wants to exceed my point or whatever output, I would encourage them to go for it. I have clearly exceeded the bounds of reasonableness given my preference for domestic harmony or at least tranquility. And so, I am pretty much a stationary target for the next 6-months or a year subject to the normal outages, project switching, jailbreaks etc. I would love to see my contribution eclipsed by any and all members of MOT and further the WCG. Indeed I offer my such-that-it-is help. The more the better. I suppose that it is possible to get too much power applied but I don't see that as possible in the foreseeable future. Finally I would be remiss if I did not say: Good Morning MOT! |
