Thanks for the advice RT and Keith! I'm still to think things through completely, but I'm planning to study the post grad part-time alongside full-time work (good bye life i suppose?) to start saving up for the big world and building a practical-work portfolio. By the end of the post-grad, I should have both the theory and practical knowledge for my dream career, hopefully!

And lookie look! I now have the glamorous beta badge! Yippee! Was very lucky though, two four hour work units at the same time. If I didn't get the second, I'd literally have been 13 days, 23 hours and 45 mins from it..

Yes - very close there Judson, looks like there'll probably be two regular six digits now. :)

Personal Experience:

I am sure I could have completed my advanced degrees had I gone to work full time. I am just not sure that I would have. My wife, went to work and while I worked some weekends on a ranch and one summer driving a gasoline delivery truck, she did the lion's share of the money earning. It will not be a shock to any married man to learn that she has reminded me of that more than a few times over the ensuing 47 years. smile

Everyone is different; I suspect that you have the perspective and determination that I lacked at the time. As you know, what is important is that you get it done. Good Luck friend.

We all have our place in the world none is better then another just different! If you e your job you have it made. Besides a recent syudy showed making over 75 k does not make one happier just more stuff that's all. 109 k points today.
