Morning Team Bear with me I've just moved into my new humble abode Telephone line will be activated on the 28th - then I'll get my broadband order in as soon as I get the dial tone  In the meantime you would be amazed how many open wifi access points you can find in a flat  my SSID when I go live will, as always, be www.worldcommunitygrid.org Just a 17 mins walk to work. You should see the stupid smile I'm wearing Normal crunching servce will be resumed soon dave Good to hear Dave. I had wondered what had happened. As for the open wifi spots, no surprise there. I did know one fellow though who only used explicit MAC addresses; wouldn't settle for decent encryption. I've never used any of the "Free WIFI" you get in so many places these days. Encrypted wifi at home or cable elsewhere. |

The end of this month is getting rather interesting. We're about 2000 points per day of averaging a half-million. That would also have us on a pace for a 182+ million year. Also, we're about a couple of days shy of busting thru the 150 million point mark. Our number of members returning a result each day seems to be growing a bit to tease with the mid-40s.

<snip snip> As a certain pointy-eared fellow has been known to say - fascinating! Is it possible to run Windows as a VM on Ubuntu so we can still use the Dark Lord's gifts where required? We need a Unix, Linux, Ubuntu expert (or at least someone much more knowledgeable that yours truly) to figure that out. I personally am a bit averse to that idea as it seems likely that one could not tell what resources were actually going where.
