In the interesting bit of trivia department, MOT moved UP today in the team points ranking. I remember when we did that every day! Mornin' all  Do you remember Compudude?? he was a big hitter!!---Good Morning All---Go Ubuntu!! |

---------------------------------------- Another day to be happy we are all here.  Great to see the teem stats doing so well.  (like that spelling?)My wife and I voted early yesterday; avoided the rush. The judges there said that there is a really heavy turnout.  Judson: How is the new cruncher? In the interesting bit of trivia department, MOT moved UP today in the team points ranking. I remember when we did that every day! Mornin' all Do you remember Compudude?? he was a big hitter!!---Good Morning All---Go Ubuntu!! Yep, I remember hoping I'd see the day when the team would make it back up to the 300K+ per day level. We did just over 100K on a good day then. Joost had access to a test server farm that he was able to crunch on when it wasn't being used and he cranked 'em out too. That came to an end though but he stuck with us and still crunches today! Back then, we usually had around 60+ folks returning results each day versus the 40+ nowadays. We once were one of the Top 5 teams but then there was the influx from grid.org and the arrival of multicore machines. Lots of folks discovered WCG. Today, we're closing in on a 500K per day average and it looks like we'll break the 150 million mark for the year around end of the month. With two months to go, we could hit 185. That's about 370 percent of what we did in 2007. A lot has happened, a lot has changed. We just keep on crunching. PS. While Judson was busy rocketing past me today (hey, I did salute!), I got to see my BOINC clients roll over past the 2,000,000 credit mark for WCG (looks like I past the 3.5 million mark across all projects a couple of days ago). |

Good morning everyone. I managed to get 2 CEP2 betas yesterday which has me sitting at 0:013:23:31:50, and just 28:10 short of bronze. Sometimes I wish I had even slower systems...
 Uplinger said there might be another small batch going out. It just might be enough if I'm lucky.Oh, yes, I just got emerald for HFCC. It's going to be cool and a bit wet here for the next few days. Good crunching weather. - D |
