So, shoes are gone but rain has come... After 5 months without a single drop on my head, now it looks like a close-to-not-so-entirely-intermittent phase :)

I am not sure what you mean by this. How would someone "hands on it" other than to get it and suspend WUs that are running? I have my caches loaded with two days of work.

Maybe while reading insert 'put' before the 'hands on it' will work better for you :o) See no reason to suspend tasks... just let them run sequentially... FIFO... see no rush for C-Type with 10 day deadline.

At this stage I have picked up over 1000 tasks, so there are pleanty around for those wishing to get their hands on them.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Now that we have run awhile with abundant work, I wonder if there are new expectations for how this project will run in the future? Specifically, have the scientists now attained a comfort level, and more consistent process so that work will continue to be released regularly, or will the project soon return to a mode where (after this big bubble of work) the next major batch of work will take weeks or months to first be released as A's, then get analyzed, then get released as B's & C's?

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

My vague but optimistic take on the situation is that the present flood of tasks do not all have to be analysed at the same time, so the pending results can be grouped and analyzed separately. The result of each group will lead to more tasks and would mean a more systematic release pattern. To sanguine?
