Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I've been getting "no work available" messages for the past two hours or so. I'm guessing we're either on a short hiatus or at the beginning of a new drought.

Same here. We are not that far from the sapphire though...

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

yeah, I think they are out of work for now. I am not sure if they will get more soon or not, but I am leaning toward yes. I mean we didn't get enough Cs based on the Bs that we did.

Personally, based on what I have left in cache and what I have in PV, I estimate that I am .5 days short of reaching sapphire (about 30 days of CPU time -- I do more then 60 cpu in a day, but the memory demand is too much for me to go 100%)

Memory demands are such that if I start 16 tasks at once, the server most likely is going to stall and all 16 tasks error out...

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Apart from one resend I picked up this morning I have not received a task since last night at 11.20 UK time; almost half a day, so it might be over. Some of my systems will run dry if I dont change project settings, so thats it for me. Not sure if I have enough in cache and PV to make it over the 1year line, but I had planned to only run it along with other projects if I did, so the plan is still applicable even if the goal was missed.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

288,000 Results validated since last night on the last 2 back to back sets, several hundred thousand still to find wingman or both in quorum not yet computed. Sunday had 37,433 validating almost matching the Friday science day record of 37,705.

It's Monday... maybe we see a rush at noon and a flush when deadlines start getting ominous, which is going to happen from today too, the deluge having started on August 12. "No Reply" results will be going out for the next 10 days or so too and some will start to see "aborted by server".

Crunching on, still got a dozen in the queue, due on... the 29th.

I'm out but have 27 pages of inmates. Time to bring them down and clean them.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Seems like the sun has come out again ...
There may be some clearing showers ahead though.

I sure hope the researchers find some useful drug leads soon, because the (expletive) mosquitos seem to be breeding fast. Since this last lot of rain started, the number of mossies here has doubled.

<=== 1 mosquito before

<=== Junior mosquito, born since the rain started

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

My quad hasn't pulled any since last night, but I just noticed it downloaded the program files for Compute for Clean Water.

It is also now listed in the available projects menu. No workunits picked up yet though.
