Speaking of yourself as 'we'? The difference of the 2 claims exceeded a certain difference. This is when the 'nearest to historical award per second' comparison kicks in. If you tell us your client is 32 bit, 'we' can speculate more accurately on what the slower client is.

If anyone with one of these percentage issue work units can capture information for me that would be wonderful. The information is in the BOINC Data directory, under slots and some number. There should be a file in one of the directories called result.out. If you want, you can copy and paste that entire directory to your desktop, then zip the directory and send it to support@worldcommunitygrid.org Please remember, to COPY and PASTE, this will allow you to zip up the directory without needing to shut down BOINC. If you're in windows, to zip the directory, right click and then send to -> compressed folder. Thanks, -Uplinger Are you going to send a server abort on these units that start over and over? Mine is at 4 days 16+ hours. |

Mine was the one claiming 664.7 The 3rd one has validated now BETA_ erlc_ a195_ ps0000_ 2-- 616 Valid 2/3/10 23:38:08 2/8/10 21:32:55 90.16 775.3 / 1,043.5 BETA_ erlc_ a195_ ps0000_ 0-- 616 Valid 2/3/10 23:38:05 2/7/10 19:42:56 57.93 1,043.5 / 1,043.5 BETA_ erlc_ a195_ ps0000_ 1-- 616 Valid 2/3/10 23:38:02 2/6/10 11:45:35 45.00 664.7 / 1,043.5 I have a 32 bit system.

I also experience this percentage issue (around 70s% down to 20s%) and I let go (to see if it goes well). And it validated successfully.
----------------------------------------BETA_ erlc_ a068_ ps0000_ 1-- Valid 03/02/10 23:15:49 07/02/10 03:25:46 54.64 1,510.9 / 955.3 This machine crunch 24/7 and after I saw this WU, I let it start right away (maybe an hour after receiving it). Judging by its completion date, it runs for 3+days where in actuality its only 2.25+ The other one that I got finished earlier on the other machine: BETA_ erlc_ a211_ ps0000_ 2-- Valid 03/02/10 23:40:36 05/02/10 14:22:18 35.12 992.1 / 769.6 |

This morning there were ZERO beta validations so the question is: Who's still working on them as the second A type done by my crawler and finished on Saturday is still waiting for a wingman to show up, does not matter who, one of two:

Sek, it's probably someone who's been greedy and have more Type A's than their computer(s) can cope with - after all, there were a fair bit of 'hovering up' of Beta WU's this time around...

I am still crunching on BETA_erlc_a189_ps0000_0. It seems to be a bit happier now and is at 51.040% after 98h21m with an ETA of 78h.
The completion time is going down by about 6 minutes for every minute of real time, so later today, maybe tomorrow. |

Greeting, I am about to take a look at those log files. Andreic and Mathilde, thank you for those log files. I will let everyone know what I find out. -Uplinger Hello, nice to have you back. erlc_ a101_ ps0000_ 0 was uploaded (valid) and the four others are 'in production' at 81- 84%. I think, that you get all back in time. @Sekerob: I'm not your wingmen. Don't forget, that there was the C-Beta. So computers crunched first the work with the 3 days expiration date. |

Yesterday I picked up a re-issue of BETA_ erlc_ a046_ ps0000_ 6 on one of my machines.
----------------------------------------As bad luck would have it, that pc is a SLOW Pentium D and it started out with an estimated 271+ hours until completion. Return deadline is the 11th at 8:16am. After several hours of working on it, it slowly progressed with that estimate looking pretty accurate. I suspended all other tasks to let all the cores crunch just this one WU and it has moved along some. It's now at 36.240% complete after nearly 24 hours CPU time crunching. Estimated 133~ hours remaining. Don't believe it has re-started or had any problems that some of the other type-a's have had. We'll see how it recovers after the big MS patch tuesday restart that will be required in a few hours. If this WU doesn't return in time, might be something for the techs to consider putting a machine class restriction on for short deadline make-up jobs like this. The machine is a 24/7 cruncher and could make a normal 10 day deadline, but it's really struggling with this shorter one. Meantime, I'll let it keep going unless the techs advise otherwise.
