Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The January 2015 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 2.707C - we now have 5 years worth of January's

The average temperature February 2014 through to the end of January 2015 was 12.565C

Up 66/1000ths of a degree compared with the year to the end of December 2014

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 88,994,752 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

How come I can beat every Climate Temperature Series - GISS,CRU,UAH,RSS,NOAA - to producing the monthly average, minutes after midnight on the 1st?

Because this data is raw, and straight from the thermometers - all 2438 of them around the globe. It doesn't get doctored.

Can you see any warming so far?

Night all from the UK

Dave

Today is the day the Global Warmists jumped the shark

http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/j...celand-volcanic-eruptions

This is doubly absurd as erupting volcano's have a planetary cooling effect

Just another of those negative feedback's .....

How many more times are they going to rustle up a scare story ?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The unfalsifiable hypothesis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsifiability

Which renders Climate Science currently a pseudoscience

No amount of real world contrary data shakes the belief

Which makes Climate Change/Global Warming perfect fodder for Politicians

All they have to do is point at this storm or that flood, this heat wave, that extreme cold snap and say "It's Climate Change"

How are today's scare stories any different from those of the past requiring sacrifices to the Gods?

Have a look at the real, straight from the weather stations, temperature record. If the average of all the average temperatures is approaching the average temperature of the first year recorded.. what does the mean about the subsequent years? And if the average of the average temperatures goes below this value?

The link in the post above asks us to believe that the reason the Earth is not warming is due to natural variation. It asks us to take a leap of faith, to stick with the old ideas, to believe without any tangible evidence.

That's not science. I'm sorry whillard but it isn't.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Except for the promotion of Nuclear Power as "Green" - CO2 bad, A multitude of long life radioactive isotopes not normally present in the environment good !!

Conversion of arable land to Bio-Fuel production while People starve and can no longer afford to eat as a result of the skewed market caused by the scare story.

The cutting down of virgin Rain Forest to plant Palm for Biofuel. Chopping down US temperate Forest to burn in UK Power Stations caused by the scare story

The turning off of previously viable Coal Power Stations until we have no available head room in our power supply (In the UK) caused by the scare story

Enormous "Green" taxation in it's many guises justified off the back of the scare story

The promotion of ominous "Population Control" ideals justified again by the scare story

and generally frightening the living daylights out of our young. Claiming they may not have a future - and that they are part of this (honestly non-existent) problem

I don't think this quite makes it worth it biggrin

If Green technology can flourish in a free market then we'll have Green Technology come what may. I'm all for it.

2GW of the UK power supply is currently from the wind. 2 desperately needed Gigawatts as this scare story takes it's toll
