Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The September 2014 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 18.663C - in amongst it's peers

The average temperature October 2013 through to the end of September 2014 was 12.261C

Down 9/1000ths of a degree compared with the year to the end of August 2014

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 81,982,700 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

Warming alarmingly?

Dave

Monumental stability despite the varying inputs

If the climate was to runaway due to the slightest change in atmospheric composition, would we have had the opportunity to measure it?

"We are in the process of de-carbonising Europe's economy,” he [Barroso] said.

Barroso noted that the EU aims to spend 20 percent of its overall 2014-2020 EU budget on climate action.

and once again

Currently only 3 of the 8 UK EDF Reactors are fully operational

see http://www.edfenergy.com/energy/power-station/daily-statuses

and Wylfa's last operational reactor has boiler leak problems .. but that won't stop them even if the boilers are within the pressure vessel and have been running since 1971

http://magnox.nuclearsite.co.uk/remit

I had a read through Wylfa's stress test in light of Fukushima and the loss of local power risk scenarios assume that a reactor tripping with local supply failure as very low ...because there's a second reactor onsite.

Not any more there isn't !!
