The eruption has started along a fissure - a fissure was observed yesterday up to 6km in length.

Bradwell-on-Sea

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradwell_nuclear_power_station

This was the first station to close in 2002 ... it's nearest to London

It's part of the NDA's MODP scheme http://www.nda.gov.uk/2013/10/bradwell-and-trawsfynydd-lead-and-learn-sites/

Bradwell is one of the 8 sites that also includes Hartlepool; Heysham, Lancashire; Hinkley Point, Somerset; Oldbury, Gloucestershire; Sellafield, Cumbria; Sizewell, Suffolk; and Wylfa, Anglesey that are being considered for additional Nuclear Power Stations

If the are so safe why don't they build one at Battersea ?

https://www.batterseapowerstation.co.uk/#/vie.../53f207632cc1e50a44023abc

In the UK we are now taking down and painstakingly rebuilding a non-working power station at the cost of £3/4 Billion. d oh

Genius

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The August 2014 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 21.637C - the coldest August in the temperature series so far

The average temperature September 2013 through to the end of August 2014 was 12.270C

Down 27/1000ths of a degree compared with the year to the end of July 2014

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 80,244,455 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

They can tell us the Planet is warming
I can demonstrate that it's not - complete with all the untampered raw data from the weather stations.

A very public experiment.

Who to believe.... Politicians or Thermometers ?
