Yep you did put a smile on my face tonight mate.
I wonder just how much money goes into the Global Warming Community coffers. I think Al Gore reportedly made quite a few Million Bucks. Slap |

Found this amusing comment on one of the stories you linked higher up about Davey's promise of no blackouts.
Don't laugh too much as you never know. New statement from Ed Davey. "after intensive consultations with IDS and Esther McVague I can guarantee that there will be sufficient power, and ample reserve energy available to power (our) homes this winter and forthcoming winters. This will be achieved by the harnessing of the unemployed, the disabled, school leavers not yet in employment, all members of immigrant families, and those on zero hour contracts whilst not working for engaging company, to Treadmills built in vacant factory units. This will be highly cost effective as we will not be paying a wage to each worker, but supplying them with vouchers that they can redeem for basic foodstuffs at "the company store" i.e Foodbanks. There will also be a nett gain for local councils in areas where these Units are constructed as the people engaged in Energy Manufacture will be classed as full time employed, thus reducing the amount of Council Tax Benefit applicable to them as their houses will be underoccupied due to sleeping arrangements (mattresses on floors) being provided for workers between 8 hr shifts. This could even raise more revenue for councils as the "Spare Room Subsidy" would almost certainly apply. In the case of overproduction of energy (which seems almost certain), this could be sold on to other EU countries, which would enable us to fulfil just ONE of our promises, that of reducing our debt / deficit. Costs to the NHS would be minimal as we expect there to be more "termination of life" situations than work related injuries. This would have the knock on effect of producing more work for Undertakers, Crematoriums etc. We will of course be making more bonuses available for Jobcentre staff who produce the most "sanctions", and productivity bonuses for staff at ATOS and the DWP who adequately fill their quotas of supply". End of statement. That was a users comment and in no way reflects my personal opinion of the people running the Country and their misguided and utterly stupid suggestions of for example taking plants out of mothball status. Which would take around 6 months anyway. Slap |

The October 2014 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 14.327C - the warmest October in the series

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-29924710
----------------------------------------Danny Alexander to call for fuel price cut They wonder why the cost of Petrol and Diesel doesn't fall as expected when the cost of crude oil falls...when they work in the treasury... Using the figures on this bbc page Current cost of Diesel 128.58 pence per Litre VAT = 21.43 pence Fuel Duty = 57.95 pence Total government take 79.38 pence leaving 49.20 pence for fuel company (not all of which is the cost of crude) Previous cost of Diesel 136.37 pence per litre VAT 22.73 pence per litre Fuel Duty = 57.95 pence total government take 80.68 pence Leaving 55.69 pence for fuel company (not all of which is the cost of crude) Fuel price reduced by 13.2% by fuel companies since peak Masked by taxes (and the fall in the value of the £) I'd say we were getting our reductions but when 61.74% of the cost of fuel is direct taxation the reduction in the remainder really does appear to be insignificant Lies, **** Lies and Statistics, Danny needs to look a little closer to home. LOL
----------------------------------------Wow edited for inappropriate forum language "Mark Twain popularized the saying in "Chapters from My Autobiography", published in the North American Review in 1906. "Figures often beguile me," he wrote, "particularly when I have the arranging of them myself; in which case the remark attributed to Disraeli would often apply with justice and force: 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, dxxxxd lies, and statistics.'" sorry I can't link directly to the wikipedia article as it includes that word It's a tragedy when we can't teach our children the richness of our beautiful language, especially when it is appropriately applied. Absolutely the right phrase in absolutely the right spot edited !! ![]() |

Anyone from the Warmists side dare to explain this?
----------------------------------------http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/seaice/extent/Sea_Ice_Extent_v2_prev_L.png or this http://www.weatherstreet.com/hurricane/2010/hurricane-climatology.gif or this http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seaice.anomaly.antarctic.png on how they fit in with a world view that sees a planet catastrophically warming due to the atmospheric content of a life providing trace gas. Go on explain to me why there is more Sea Ice at both Poles and remarkably lower Hurricane activity than when Al Gore first got in his scissor lift... Fairy snuff
----------------------------------------How about explaining why, in this alleged warming world, there was an extra 5,332,000 sq kms of snow cover in the Northern Hemisphere in the October just gone than the 1981-2010 average? http://climate.rutgers.edu/snowcover/table_rankings.php?ui_set=1#namgnld Only exceeded in October 1976 and 2002 ..maybe if I cup my hand behind my ear I'll be able to... ![]() |
