Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The French trekkers [who're going to cross in the nearest straight line from Alaska to Svalbard island] require approval to start the cross... from an oil company... who of course would be the absolute last "by nature of their business" to be concerned about the wellbeing of the Arctic and it's environment. To take a song by Sheryl Crow: Melt Baby Melt Baby Melt Baby, Melt Baby Melt!

(zoom in deeply to see the oil installation in the far across the water)

Donate 15 Euro and get the DVD when they're done with their revealing trip: http://www.sebroubinet.eu/ . Or... pay 22 Euro for the book and both with discount Euro 33.

(may require to learn French, but each picture will tell a thousand words anyway, in any language)

edit: Oops, need to shrink... the webpage shows it "forum" thumbnail size.

As would appear to be de rigueur around these parts

Might I be so bold as to post this twice

Winston Smith would have been kept busy with the arrival of the Internet

compare and contrast in no more than a thousand words with ...

...making a contribution to dealing with the problems of Climate Change as well

Yes it really is the same guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

3:49:54 AM... In the middle of the night, someone is still wrong on the internet! Ever wonder, "could it be me?"

Strangely now that 6 months of 2011 have completed and the Polar average are computed for that period and same of previous 31 years, the Sea Ice is lowest on record.. a record low... and First Year Ice thinnest we've observed (The Alfred Wegener recons). No wonder the French use a catamaran with sled irons to cross the Arctic ice and the holes in between, many holes.

PS, Anthony Watts said it "Let there be no doubt... CO2 is a greenhouse gas" and Dr. Roy Spencer also reckons that , but being Roy he's got these extra fractions... the kind of 2+2=3 and thinks doubling from 280 to 560 ppmV CO2 will increase the global temps by half of what other make it to be ''only' 1.3 deg. C". Ask the folk in Oklahoma or any southern state in the US how global cooling is feeling this time around whilst the sun is still not back into it's usual self... yes, trace gas it is [in quantitative terms].

Then a post with just "Sek" and an unexplained link... I guess there are monkeys that do tricks... there's also the 3 famous monkeys:

Heck, just figured it out why these odd posting times... your audience is across the big pond. A test was done there and that got a few to turn heads... 28% thinking that the Sun revolves the earth and only 45% knowing how long it takes for the sun to do that... Anno 2011.

http://rankexploits.com/musings/2011/are-you-smarter-than-a-5th-grader/

% correct
EARTHOT The center of the Earth is very hot [true/false]. 86%
HUMANRADIO All radioactivity is man-made [true/false]. 84%
LASERS Lasers work by focusing sound waves [true/false]. 68%
ELECATOM Electrons are smaller than atoms [true/false]. 62%
COPERNICUS1 Does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth? 72%
COPERNICUS2 How long does it take for the Earth to go around the Sun? [one day, one month, one year] 45%
DADGENDER It is the father’s gene that decides whether the baby is a boy or a girl [true/false]. 69%
ANTIBIOTICS Antibiotics kill viruses as well as bacteria [true/false]. 68%

My point being: Do you think you can sell your story, as does the Heartland and George Marshall and the ATI and more ''institutes'', to these folk that had the misfortune not to be broadly educated, that Anthropogenic Global Warming is a hoax?

Oh, it seems the Heartland ICCC 2011 conference, in Oklahoma was bailed by Sr. Inhofe ... maybe it got to hot under his feet, but he said "I am under the weather". Yes, the sum of many days of weather is Climate, and it's changing.

edit:

PPS, Roy Spencer's exhibition was already thoroughly debunked... it usually takes not a few days to happen. Left out a bunch to come to "his" conclusions: Roy Spencer on Climate Sensitivity - Again
