Re: Beta Testing for upcoming project application

Who says? The results were moved off quickly from the assimilator but not until completing the validation process.

How to check: I keep BOINCview that tallies all jobs and run times. Filtered out the beta jobs, added them up time/results, looked at my stats project page and saw that the sum of pre-beta plus this test run added up close enough to think all was properly awarded.

Now, here at WCG it's normally 4 days after validation that the RS pages list completed work units. Most other non-WCG projects remove results in 24 hours after validation and do not provide CPU time/result stats to be even reasonably able to see what happened.

Re: Beta Testing for upcoming project application

So BOINCview. I applied a filter on Beta6 + exit code of 0 (zero), which signifies success. The screenshot shows 10 jobs and the job average was 10:54 hours i.e. 105:40 hours total. My midday stats for the Beta project compared to a week ago was almost 5 days up, so ergo sum, got the run time credited in full, though only 3 are still listed in my RS pages. That's how easy BV is for me.

Note to self: consider writing a Beefy FAQ for the lazy types like me on this tool ;>)

Well, My Grid shows 4 Beta results turned in ever, and 4 Beta results show on my RS. Tho the time added up is a good 4-6 hours short of what my math says it should be, but still. I got 5 results, crunched them all to completion, and got credit for only 4. :( Sad. For any other project, I wouldn't care, but the beta units for the precious badge are so far and few between. Nothing I can do about it, oh well. I guess I just hope it did what it was supposed to do on their end.
