Here are my other results:

BETA_ E000001_ 111A_ 00000q00j_ 1-- balthazar Pending Validation 12/4/08 06:30:20 12/4/08 20:38:38 10.60 200.9 / 0.0
BETA_ E000370_ 333A_ 001e94175_ 1-- midgard Inconclusive 12/2/08 23:50:36 12/4/08 08:25:14 23.18 248.3 / 0.0
BETA_ E000370_ 046A_ 001e8y152_ 0-- caspar Pending Validation 12/2/08 22:51:24 12/4/08 13:20:57 23.97 250.7 / 0.0

Balthazar has been updated since the last result to WCG client 6.2.28 after I relalized it was behind. ^^

Midgard is a AMD Athlon64 2800+ w 1GB Ram running Windows XP Pro SP2 on Boinc 6.4.2 test version.

Caspar is an AMD Athlon64 3000+ w/ 1GB Ram wunning Windows Pro SP2 on Boinc 6.2.19.

Edit: I have noticed my last post's result has been changed to Inconclusive. I'm hoping these get changed and I get proper beta credit for them. As of now no Beta time is showing on "My Grid."

Re: Beta Testing for upcoming project application

I've got one of the Beta's but it's on, possibly, my slowest machine. There's no chance it will make it before the deadline. It's been processing now for 15 hrs and says it has 16 hrs to go.

The beta is: BETA_E000370_122A_001e8z184_001e8z184.init

Any advice from the WCG powers that be to let the sucker run or give it up?

Thanks

I have similar problem with 4 WUs here once all will not be finished until the deadline.

I take it as a risc when we run Beta's once the purpose is crunch and return asap to WCG. Is part of game.

I think that there is some tolerancy in consider the results if we return few time after the deadline.

Just to mention my experience in recent Beta test ran here, I lost all points and credit time related with 2 WU's crunched and returned in TOO LATE status some hours after the deadline. The WU's remain as TOO LATE at my results sstatus page until disappear without get me anythin (Points, credits or time) in my Beta Project results.

You can see below my coments about it:

biggrin Re: Beta Testing for upcoming project application

GIBA,

The points would be cool - especially since I'm so very, very close to a Beta badge, but I'm sure the WCG people need the results more than I need the points. I'm just wondering if the result will be used if it's late or not - and it's going to be late.

Re: Beta Testing for upcoming project application

The result will be used if it is late or not. We prefer not but late ones help us figure out if our algorithms for validation and work unit generation are working well. Gotta test all ends of the system, Late being part of it :)

Thanks again for helping on this BETA!

Invalid is what Inconclusive means then? One of my ones has gone to valid now, so thats good. :) Still nothing on My Grid, but I'm sure it'll show up. :)

No. Inconclusive is shown until another result allows the validator to decide which are the good results. Then the good ones become "Valid" and the bad ones become "Invalid".

Note that Invalid results get the full granted credits same as Valid ones for Beta WUs (for normal WUs they get only half of them).

Cheers. Jean.
