Q6600 quad core oced to 2.8 ghz
2.2 ghz AMD laptop 2.0 ghz 1 core, no hyperthreading p4 (my roommate's) |

Really great crunching numbers..! I'm kind of curious.. those in the top 10.. what kinds of machines are you running to get those types of numbers? Jealous here.. Dr. Mike.. ![]() My Farm: 6 Q6600 quads, 1 6400 duo, 4 P4 duos, 2 P4 singles (36 cores). Currently Crunchin’: 5 quads and the 6400 (22 cores). Will be going back to around 100F by Fri so will probably shut a couple of quads down tomorrow. ![]() ![]() |

Will be going back to around 100F by Fri so will probably shut a couple of quads down tomorrow. ![]() 1 Q6600 @ stock (24/7) 1 E6600 @ 3.4 GHz (12/7) |

Dr. Mike.. ![]() Are you going to shut down the P4 duos and singles for good? I read that they're not energy efficient enough to be worth running. All some folks have are P4 singles. If energy costs are not an issue for them, I'd hope to see them continue crunching. Perhaps in time they will be able to upgrade but perhaps not. Either way, their contribution is still important and needed. Energy costs are just one factor but for folks like Dataman and others with high electric bills, they have to decide whether to retire their P4s, retire and replace, or keep running them. |
