@ Dave: You get that scooter yet? If so send pic’s. How’s Cedric? ... Zelda sends her love. I haven't heard from them yet about the scooter, but I expect to sometime soon. They told me it would be about six weeks, and I'm not sure, but I think it has been about five now. The one I am getting is this model in blue. Cedric is doing well (probably over on his charger blushing about Zelda). I still cannot believe how effective they are. I've been thinking of finding a way for my camcorder to take a ride on Cedric just for laughs. Would have loved it if you had done that when Zelda followed you out the door to try to vacuum up the leaves from your deck. That would have been an instant hit on YouTube! 6 mph? Why not just ride a kawasaki ninja motorcycle? |

6 mph? Why not just ride a kawasaki ninja motorcycle? Jonathan -- my other scooter (which I bought a few years back) tops out at 9 mph and is better suited for use outside and gets me around town nicely. Don't know about a Kawasaki -- might be a bit difficult with one leg. Now a 4 wheeled ATV -- hmmmmm. |

You could get an ATV for that kind of money. ![]() |

I looked at the new one .... geezzz, I had no idea they were that expensive. You could get an ATV for that kind of money. I think anything that medical insurance will pay for gets priced that way. I have seen that same chair listed online for about $2000. My old scooter was about $1400 when I bought it a few years back (maybe 4 or 5 years ago). Realizing that a government agency (the VA) is buying it for me, I am sure they will probably find a way to pay $6000 for it! |

What kinds of machines does everyone else run? I looked at a wireless router for my cable modem today. Boy, did I get confused. :( So many brands and types. 1) not sure which one is right 2) wouldn't know how to work it in the first place.. HELP! lol.. Dr. Mike.. ![]() Hi Dr. Mike -- I am running a Dell E1505 desktop with a Core2 Dual processor at 2.13 GHz as well as a Dell laptop (not sure of model) also running a Core2 Dual at (I think) 1.87 GHz. My router is an old (about 6 years old) Linksys BEFW11S4 802.11b wireless router with 4 ethernet ports. I have my desktop and printer hard wired to it and run my laptop wireless from it. If you want to learn about networking your systems, Linksys has a learning center on it's website that even has some video classes which might be of help to you. Dave, Thanks for the link. It helped explain a few things to this "electronically challenged" individual. Dr. Mike ![]() |

Dave, Thanks for the link. It helped explain a few things to this "electronically challenged" individual. Dr. Mike Glad to have been of a bit of help for you. Myself, well, a bit medically challanged. Due to MRSA, I lost my right leg below the knee (hence all the "scooter" talk). Didn't know I had the infection because of CMT (a genetic neuropathy). And, because of my lifestyle, I have a lot of heart and lung problems. Yeah, knew better, but ignored all the warnings and still do, I guess. Good to have enjoyed life and still do, anyway. If you have any questions on computers, networking, or anything else, ask in here. There is a lot of knowledge among the members of MOT, and if we don't know, some of us have a lot of time to do research. |

Hey Dave, since you and DM have Cedric and Zelda, you probably ought to name your scooters too. Your new indoor one could be Jeeves and the outdoor one Washington!
